A Thought That I Couldn't Erase

Dear Theophrastus,

The first time I met you, you wore this blue polo, brown jeans, and red shoes. I knew it wasn't the best fit. My friend told me she invited her friends, and I didn't think that her friends were all guys, and you're one of them.

I was actually looking at your friend when you came in, who had this great style—my typical type of guy.

You were the last person I thought I would like. Your other friend, the one with glasses, was looking at me, and he wasn't even trying to hide it. I find it creepy, so whenever he would sit close to me, I would excuse myself just to get away from him.

I came back and sat beside you because you looked like someone I could trust. You have this aura that I find comfortable. We talked for hours about random stuff, calling you random names, and you found it funny. You find me funny, and I like that.

You're not the most attractive person in the room, but you caught my attention. I never imagined that I would end up liking you. It was 3 a.m., and you asked me twice if I was single. I just laughed because I couldn't tell you the truth. I don't want to tell you the truth. Two months have passed, but you're still in the back of my mind. You're this thought that I couldn't erase.
