'Oh where do we go, Where do we go from here?

I don't want to wait for my turn'

—————

There was the normal routine for Cherry as she woke up later in the afternoon. She sat up, rubbed her tired-out face, and stretched. Akita has nested on her lap through the time she slept and served as a giant teddy/heating blanket at some point.

Cherry yawned before turning her head to gaze at the sunlight-filled room.

-"Good morning-" She stopped dead in her tracks as her eyes laid on the wooden box. It wasn't a bad dream. He was gone. For real this time. "... bad morning" Cherry grumbled under her breath as she crawled out of the bed. Poldara's prosthetic leg was carelessly laying on the floor by the foot of the bed. That detail filled the girl with doubt and worry. Why was it here? There wasn't anything else left behind, nothing beside the prosthetic limb. It would be understandable if he left behind his wheelchair, but his leg ?!

As the teen tried to remember the events, she was disappointed to see her memories were cut short at the moment that Poldara sang her to sleep.

Cherry stood up, then after picking up the object she tiptoed out of her 'new room'. The hallway was way longer than she had remembered it to be. There were mirrors that were hung on the corridor's walls. Another detail that was out of place. Were those there when she first strolled by? There were agitated shouts coming from outside the estate. Perhaps it's all some sort of joke, a prank or something like that. The rest of the walk was rather normal, without any oddities.

The screams got louder as she stepped out into the backyard where on the other side was situated a garden full of flowers.

In the middle of the yard were two silhouettes that shouted one at another and a bunch of people who either simply stared, picked sides, or attempted to resolve the fight. Cherry instantly recognized MA and Umbra who circled one around the other, growling and shouting. There was the entire household out there. As she approached she found Poldara standing with his dads, trying to hold back the mandorian militant while a man with a top hat stood behind Umbra and murmured something to her.

It was a shock. First of all, Poldara had both his brace and prosthetic on. Cherry looked down at her hands to see she no longer held onto anything. Another shocking thing was that man. Just by his look already there was no mistaking.

-"Hatty?!" Cherry exclaimed, flabbergasted, as she ran up to make sure her eyes weren't deceiving her.

She even pinched herself. The girl's face lit up, and her eyes watered from happiness.

How was this possible? She thought he was gone forever!

She was about to hug him when all of a sudden she stopped, as if paralyzed, frozen on the spot, unable to take an inch away from the square meter of grass. The backyard grew quiet, the colors faded, washed off to let the dimension become all gray. Hatter, or at least his lookalike evilly smirked, stepping closer to the

-"Long time no see Blossom kid" A voice that sounded nothing like Hatter's normal one exited his mouth. "Hatter can't come at the phone right now, please leave a message after a beep!"

-"W-who ARE you? What is going on here?!" The teen growled, in her mind things slowly set back in their places.

-"Let's just say, things fall apart and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, hihi!"

As the Hatter wannabe said that, there was a gruesome squawking followed by a shatter. Blood spattered all over the lawn as the entity crashed down, its body sawed in half.
