"I wanna know what the hell you two were thinking, smocking weed on the side of the road, in clear view of everyone, neighbours, the cops, seriously I wanna know what was going through your brain." Calyx scoffed, leaning against the scintillating black body of his mother's car, chuckling quietly under the converted sound of breathe at his younger brothers response.

"Well it's legal now." His mother seethed, grit teeth clenched in futile control,

"Not for you it isn't." He meandered from the echoing sound of his his mother's screams, still slightly dazed from his high,

"And what the hell were you thinking Calyx, do you not care about anything, your reputation, your future?!" The man paused in his step, manoeuvring his body to face the woman shaking with rage, shrugging with indifference,

"I'm rich mom, I don't need a fucking future, and I'm 18, living on my own, in the house I bought myself, you can't tell me what to do anymore, I'm not a child!"

The lustrous black, front door slammed in fury, scarred hands slamming through the adjacent wall, dry wall caving in dangerously, "Shit!"

Crimson stained his knuckles, and a hole sat prominent against the ivory wall. Thankfully the wall remained bare, and a large painting, he recently purchased it support of local small business, stared back sinfully reflecting against sapphire pools. The painting hung effortlessly, the grey frame fitting in perfectly within the preconceived theme to the home.

A rapid knock echoed from the front door, frantic repetitive movements rousing Calyx from his stupor, "Calyx put a suit on and sober up, I want you to meet our new neighbours." Calyx chuckled fondly at his mother, the resonate sound of his phone ringing interrupting the mother-son duo, about to divulge into disagreement,

"Come on in mom, I gotta take this." The younger man, walked from his mother into the comforting familiarity of his office, the door closing with a reverberating click and lock.

"Hello." A deep familiar voice echoed from the receiving end,

"Boss we found him, he's at the warehouse we're ready." Calyx nodded a calloused hand messaging his temples, in frustration,

"Alright, keep him there I'll be there in an hour." The man grunted affirmation, before Calyx ended the brief interaction, walking from his office to the blonde woman still lounging the kitchen,

"Listen mom, I'll meet her tomorrow, work called, I really gotta go." The woman sighed dissatisfied grumbling a rebuttal of understanding before leaving.

His suit fit comfortably, the side arms concealed effortlessly beneath the blazer, the familiar sound of roaring engine prompting him to drive.
