Start from the beginning

" Hold here," Trítön grabbed both of her hands and placed them onto the ilu's antenna. Koänä felt her stomach so a small flip. " You must hold tight or you will fall off."

" I don't think I will be very good at this." Koänä admitted. She could feel her shoulders become tense and herself straighten out.

" Feel her strength, Koänä. Feel her emotions. Her breath. Indulge in the bond you made." He guided her, closing his eyes and taking deep breaths to show her what she needed to do.

Koänä felt the ilu relax after a while. She told the ilu to go back to Trítön and they swam through the water to find the boy. Trítön swam in front of them once he saw the black hair flow through the water. He got onto the ilu and held onto Koänä's waist tightly. The ilu went farther down into the water and tward the ship.

Koänä felt a tap on her hip and she looked back to Trítön. He pointed in front of her and she looked ahead, seeing Neteyam on an ilu. The sight of her younger brother made her smile. Now she had to worry if Lo'ak and Kiri were okay. She knew Tuk was on top of the ship most likely restrained with Tsireya.

" Nice to see you, brother." Koänä signed once she neared Neteyam. He looked over at her, startled. His face turned into a soft smile once he saw who it was and he signed the same thing back to her.

" Tuk, Tsireya, and Lo'ak are on board." He signed to her, watching as her face fell once Lo'ak's name was signed. She did not know that part.

" Then we will get them." She signed, watching as Payakan jumped onto the ship. Her eyes widened and so did the two boys around her. Koänä wanted to laugh if she wasn't under water.  " I'm going up."

After a small argument between her and Trítön the girl only rolled her eyes before getting ready to hop on board.

Two ilu's jumping before swimming away caught Tuk, Tsireya, and Lo'ak's attention. Tuk was the first one to see their saviors.

" Neteyam! Koä!" She exclaimed excitedly. They were going to be saved.

" Trítön!" Tsireya cried out, happily.

He smiled at his baby sister and ran forward to cut her free. Neteyam ran to Lo'ak, saying some words to him which made the younger one roll his eyes. Koänä quickly rushed over to Tuk and kneeled before her baby sister, grabbing her face. Tuk felt tears escape her eyes as Koänä looked over her body to make sure she wasn't injured. Koänä cut her free and Tuk rushed into her sister's arms, hugging her tightly.

" Oh, ma'Tuk." Koänä finally breathed out as she wrapped her lengthy arms around Tuk's small body.

The older sister moved past her as Neteyam came over. She hugged Tsireya tightly and asked the girl if she was okay. Tsireya smiled and told her she was okay now. That brought a smile to Koänä's face. Her gaze casted upon Lo'ak and she could see he was avoiding her eye.

Koänä walked forward, slapping him on the head. Lo'ak yelped in pain but she ignored his cry, pointing a finger at him. " I am going to tie a rock to you and shove you under the ocean, Lo'ak. You hear me?"

He knew his sister was joking by the small smile that was on her face and the way her eyes gave it away that she had no intention of doing that. Lo'ak wrapped his arms around her middle and she wrapped her arms around him, placing her hand on the back of his head.

" Spider is here." Lo'ak mentioned once they let go. Koänä and Neteyam both sighed, knowing what their brother was going to ask. " Please. We gotta help him."

Koänä turned to Tsireya and Trítön, pointing a finger at them. " Take Tuk and get out of here."

Trítön and Tuk both objected to the fact while Tsireya nodded. Tuk dropped the protests once she saw the look she was receiving from her three older siblings. Trítön, however, did not drop his protests.

" I am not leaving you on this ship."

" I will not be alone."

The attitudes matched the other's perfectly, making it almost amusing for their siblings to watch them bicker.

" Take it or leave it, Koä. I come with you or you come with me." He finalized. Koänä stared at him for a while before nodding.

Lo'ak and Neteyam at each other in disbelief. How did he get Koänä to shut up and agree so quickly?! They wanted that kind of power.

Tsireya and Tuk jumped off of the boat while the other four quickly ran off to go find the human boy. Neteyam and Lo'ak went one way while Koänä and Trítön another. They wanted to see who could find him faster.

" Be quiet. Follow my movement." Koänä instructed and grabbed Trítön's spear from his left hand and placed it in his right. " I need you to be ready to fight, Trítön."

He didn't say anything but nodded. As sad as it was, this was Koänä's expertise. Not his, so the boy would listen to what she has to say and follow the directions she orders closely. They creeped throughout the ship quietly.

" Four of them are on the ship. Jackson said he saw them." Koänä heard someone say and she glanced back to Trítön. They nodded at each other before jumping out from the wall they were hiding behind.

Trítön was a lot bigger than the human's he went up against so he hit one with his spear, sending it through his chest. Koänä threw her knife in the air, clutching the handle once she grabbed it and plunging the knife into the man's neck. His face went pale quickly and he fell to the floor, holding his neck. She chuckled and took off his mask, watching him slowly breathe in the air and go unconscious.

Koänä's ears perked up once she heard Lo'ak's booming laugh. She rolled her eyes.

Way to be discreet, Lo'ak.

hmmmm so next chapters gonna be fun!

I'm debating on making the chapters shorter so there's more but idk how I feel about that tbh

I pre-write everything and go back to look at it so like if I did do shorter chapters you'd get multiple at a time but if I did longer you'd get one on a certain day and another the next

lmk how y'all feel about that tho!!
