Chapter two : fuck it all.

“Anyways,  where was I? Oh right, Elias, join us.” He said.

"Uhh what?" I asked.

"As he said, brat." Nikolai responded.

"No fucking shit dumb ass, I just meant, what do you mean? Do you really think I can just leave Aleysia for this? I can't just do it on a whim, it risks both my safety and everyone around me." I explained.

"Well, you can still be a part of your group while being part of ours. So join us, with your power we can achieve our goals together, though do tell what's your goal?”He asked.

“I want to… be free… I want to live in peace witht he person I love somewhere far away or something. I've had my revenge, I could have lived in peace, but the world is on fire and I am angry. I wanted to be happy but instead I got traumatized. So Im going to destroy what makes this world fucked one way or another.”I stated. Fyodor smiled, his smile gave me a sense of slight dread.

"Perfect, we can help you do it. Just join us Elias, and we can make that dream a reality for you." He offered.

"I cant… I can't betray Ace like that." I said, actually thinking about it for a second. "If I did that I wouldn't be able to forgive myself." I continued.

"It's alright, the offer still stands for you." He said, his sweet sugar coated words felt nice to me.

"Thank you. You're nicer than Nikolai is.” I said, he nodded and Nikolai pouted. I got a call from Ace.

"Go on, pick up." Fyodor ushered. I smiled and nodded, picking up.

"Elias, where are you? You aren't in your apartment for sure." He said, panicked.

"Eh? Ace sorry, I actually have no clue where exactly I am, an old friend came and picked me up." I said not to worry him. He sighed.

"You should have asked first. But I have a mission for you later, it's dangerous but we are gonna need you, we are raiding a base. I'll see you in the woods near XX labs at 8. Don't be late, Ouroboros.” He said before hanging up.

“I have a mission tonight. I'll join you guys. But don't do anything stupid or get in the way of my missions from Aleysia.” I said, they just nodded and let me off. Nikolai drove me home to get ready for tonight, after all it's going to be showtime in 4 hours. I have to be ready for anything. So when he drops me off I head upstairs and immediately start prepping as best as I can. Eventually time comes for me to head there so I go into 40 percent, and run off towards the place. I get there just in time, we run in on the commander’s orders, there are ten of the gang’s strongest and highest ranked members.

“Ouro, head towards the left wing.” Ace said through the headsets.

“Yes sir on my way there.” I said as I took a left and started running down with two other people close behind.  I see four men in front of me holding out guns. I panic and jum up, as they start shooting, my other two comrades get shot down where they stood. I panicked even more and tried to keep a level head. I slit the men's throats and kept following Ace’s orders. I eventually made it to the place, there was a massive room there's at least 20 armed people. I realize they all have guns. I call for backup but backup will be too slow.

“Ouroboros,what are you waiting for?!” Ace yelled.

“I can’t, there's too many here, if I go down, I'm bringing them down with me. Get our men out. I'll make sure this place ceases to exist. And Ace, if i don't make it out alive, just know, You were the best father i've ever had and could have ever asked for. Oh and if Nikolai shows up, tell him that I said he is a little bitch, but I loved his stupid ass ok?” I said. Ace was yelling through the headsets to not.

But I pushed on, I killed every single person, no mercy just killed them all. Like I've always done. I'm meant to be a weapon aren't i? Someone used only to kill and harm people. I don't deserve to live anyways. This is  my life, it always has been. What will it take to be happy?

What will it take to live peacefully?

What will I have to do to finally be left alone?

I chose this life…

This is my fault.

If only I wasn't born with this stupid ability, maybe mom and dad would be alive…

If i didn't have this ability I wouldn't have gone through all that.

If I didn't have this stupid ability maybe Ben would still be alive…

It's all my fault…

Oh god…

Fuck! What am I doing?!

I need to keep my head in the game, I can't lose today. If i do that I wont ever live in peace.

But maybe I'll live in peace in my next life?

But I got shot, twice in the stomach and once in the leg.

“Elias please! Just get back! Everyone's out, don't risk it!” Ace yelled, clearly holding back tears.

“Dad… I'm sorry. I'll turn on the lab’s self-destruct, I'll be out before you know it. Promise.” I said, still unsure if I'll even make it out alive. Fuck… I'm sorry dad. I run on, dismissing any and all pain I feel. I get to the control room, after killing all in my way, and getting to the buttons. I look relentlessly for the button. I see it, a key in already. I open up the hatch and turn the key, the lights turn red and start flashing. loud sirens start blaring and my head starts feeling too light, i run back to the exit.

"Self-destructing in T minus… 10 seconds…. 9…. 8…" the coms blared as I ran, I ran towards the light of the exit and heard explosions behind me. I keep running forward and make it just in time to be launched forward towards the trees and bushes. I felt my body slam into a tree and I heard yelling and screaming, I felt myself being lifted up.

"It's okay Elias, we've won… we need to get you to a hospital… God please stay with me." Ace said, I could barely see him,everything went blank, I felt nothing, heard nothing, saw nothing. all nothing.
