You swiftly entered a small bakery, shaking the water off of your umbrella and neatly standing it against the wall next to the door.

You thanked the world profusely for giving you a place to shelter yourself from the rain as it poured down at an incredible speed, clearly not wanting to stop anytime soon.

You straightened out any creases in your clothes as you looked up, realising an old woman was walking towards you

You instantly rushed over to her, scared that her pale, fragile, body would collapse from being overworked

"Ah-- granny, let me help you to a chair-"

"Oh, no, no, dear, I am perfectly fine, don't worry. These old legs need a bit of a stretch"

"Are you sure?? I- I don't want anything to happen"

"It's alright, dear, I insist"

"But I- okay"

You nodded in understanding, not wanting to force her to do something against her own will.

"um, it's raining quite heavily outside, I hope you dont mind me sheltering here, granny. If you'd like anything in return, please, just tell m-"

"Oh shush, you're more than welcome here, dear. What a lovely girl you are, what's your name?"

"[y/n]. [y/n] [l/n]."

"Oh, Oh!" the old woman held your hands excitedly, smiling brightly up at you "you're the singer, aren't you, dear?"

"Ah- yes, that's me." You chuckled awkwardly, not expecting a person way older than your generation to know anything about you

"The young boy shikanoin told me wonderful things about you." Your face flushed at the comment, knowing exactly who she was talking about "Oh, he kept going on, saying how much he adores y-"

"Miss L/n! What a surprise! Didn't expect to run into you here" Heizou swiftly enters the scene, stumbling a little as he attempted to cover up his flustered state

"Heizou! hi..! " You smiled shyly at him, bringing a hand up to cover your face

He gave a grin at your shyness, his confident personality suddenly coming back to him "Oh-ho? So we're on first name basis now, are we?"

"I-I, uhm- I mean- I guess-" You fumbled over your words, suddenly forgetting all the lines you'd taken the time out to memorise so well 'I swear we're off script here-'

"So you're getting shy now, huh? Looks like you may be the next case I investigate"

"Heizou!" You flushed even harder at his comment, covering your face with both your hands

Heizou was trying his best to keep his laughter in, the closed smile on his face being dangerously close to breaking "Chill, I'm just teasing you" he diverted his eyes to the world outside, noticing the rain had come to a halt

"Anywho, I extend my gratitude for letting me reside here, granny. The coffee and croissants were lovely." Heizou swiftly thanked the granny, and began walking towards you, his figure coming dangerously close with each step

Your walked backwards in response, the heat getting to your face, until you hit the wall, allowing Heizou to trap you between his arms

"and you, Y/n, I will be seeing you around" he drops a gentle kiss to the corner of your mouth, before zooming out the door, hoping you wouldnt realise how red his own face was
