Misadventures Of Nijisanji

Chapter 1: Welcome to Nijisanji pt. 1

(y/n): "There is no way!"

I stare in disbelief at what I was reading in my email.

(y/n): "I was...accepted into...Nijisanji EN!"

Barely containing my excitement, I hopped around my apartment celebrating the good news up until the point I got a call from my landlord for noise complaints and understandably so, since it was currently 8 o'clock at night. After a while, I had finally calmed down a bit. I took a couple deep breaths and decided to read the email in detail just to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.

<"Dear (Y/N)">

<"We have recently reviewed your application and evaluated your audition. We are happy to announce that your application has been accepted. Your career as a Virtual Youtuber will begin soon. Debut Information and orientation are provided in person and require mandatory attendance at the Nijisanji Main Office Building of "1234 Otaku Street". We look forward to working with you as a Nijisanji employee!">

Needless to say that I wasn't dreaming or hallucinating, but I was so caught up in my own excitement I forgot one thing...

*(y/n)'s stomach starts to growl*

...Dinner...or lunch for that matter, I look in my cupboard and...nothing. I checked my fridge and the same result; don't get me wrong, there was food but it was mostly leftovers or meals that actually require cooking and I'm lazy. Luckily for me, I'm best friends with take-out.

The trip to get the food was uneventful besides the occasional car honks and cricket chirps but... something caught my eyes, causing me to look up and sure enough within the calm night sky, a shooting star! If what they say is true, I shouldn't waste this opportunity.

(y/n): "I wish...that I can make lots of memories while I'm in Nijisanji."

After I got home I got comfortable on my couch, turned on my laptop and tuned in to a few streams and/or watched a few VODs.

(y/n): "Maybe I should rewatch some debut streams."

And I did just that, taking mental notes on what I needed when I eventually had to do mine. After finishing my food and binge watching a couple of streams, I decided to get ready for bed so I can go to the Nijisanji Building early in the morning.

[Timeskip to the morning]

First thing that greets me in the morning was my alarm which I recently changed to "Diamond City Lights" just to remind myself that these are my first steps toward becoming a Vtuber. After getting out of bed and completing my daily routines like eating breakfast and brushing my teeth, I head out to the address they provided to me in the email. It only takes 45 minutes to arrive at the building and....

(y/n): "Holy Sh..-"

The building was HUGE or atleast the one part I was looking at; and according to the information on their website, the entire building was split into five sections.

(y/n): "If it looks as amazing on the inside as on the outside then I'm in for a treat."

All I needed to do was cross the street then-

...

...

...

???: "Hey, are you alright?"

???: "Dude, $20 bucks says they're dead."

???: "That's a free $20, because they aren't dead."

???: "How do you know?"

???: "They are obviously still breathing."

I couldn't see anything and EVERYTHING hurts but I can hear two distinct voices, voices that sound oddly familiar to me. I decided to slowly open my eyes.

(y/n): "What happened?"

???: "You see! Told you they weren't dead. Looks like you owe me $20."

???: "...Dammit."

(y/n): "Wait a minute, what's going on? Where am I?"

???: "To answer your first question: you got hit by a truck and your second: You are in the Nijisanji Infirmary."

(y/n): "Hold on...I'm inside the Nijisanji Building?!"

I jolted up from the infirmary bed in both confusion and excitement right before a sharp pain went shooting through my body.

(y/n): "Ow!"

???: "Hey, be careful!"

After the sudden realization I turn to the two familiar voices, only to confirm my suspicions.

(y/n): "Shu?! Luca?!"

Luca: "Pog!"
