"Hello is this Finneys father? Mhm I would just like to inform you that Finney stayed with me last night and I'll be able to have him home later tonight. Alright...goodbye sir." [NAME] said before he hung up the phone

I heard him rushing up the stairs and rushing into the bedroom before plopping down on the bed

"Well look who is going to hanging out with me for another day..you" [NAME] said with laughter laced in his words

"Yeah sounds fun...but what are we supposed to do? I mean I can't really move..."I said slumping lower in the bed

"Well movies or...ooh I got some new vinyl we could listen to." [NAME] said walking over

"What about robin?" I asked sitting up on the bed

"Who on earth is robin." [NAME] asked while he looked through his records

I forgot he doesn't go to my school "oh well there's this guy named robin...he's really tough." I said playing with my fingers

"Ah that's sounds nice...do you want me to call him or like what?" He asked while the sun made his skin look golden

I couldn't help but stare I mean not in a creepy way but like...wow.

"Hey buddy...I don't know if Vance messed up your eyes but you know it's not really nice to stare at people." He said with laughter laced with his words

"Oh yeah sorry um....no let's not call him right now...let's watch a movie." I said as I tried to move my body in the least painful way possible

"Alright I was hopping you would say that." [NAME] said while jumping onto the bed

"Alright we got tons of movies you pick since you are the guest.."[NAME] said handing me a pile of movie to pick from

"Oh what about this" I said I as I pulled Halloween out of the pile

"Sick I haven't watched it yet...I heard it only came out a few months ago and I'm super excited." [NAME] said as he placed the vhs tape in the vhs player

The movie started and I could feel [NAME] shift the bed to get comfortable

Around an hour after the movie started we heard a knock. "Are you boys hungry?" I heard his grandma say through the door

"Yeah, we'll be down in a bit grandma." [NAME] said as he turned off the tv and walked up to me

"Can you walk down the stairs?" He asked like I was some hurt puppy that couldn't move

"It's fine I can walk." I said as I lightly moved him out of my way and walked slowly down the stairs to a seat at the table

[NAME] not far behind me. "I heard your friend was sick so I made him some soup..I do hope you feel better finney." His grandma said before grabbing her purse and walking to the door

"[NAME] I will be back in the morning I am visiting some friends for a party and I hope you two boys will be responsible and go to bed early ." His grandma said wagging her finger

"Alright grandma..I love you." He said before hugging her and giving her a small kiss on the cheek

"I love you too baby... now be good." She said before shutting the door. I could hear the car pull away before riding off down the road

"Sweet..."[NAME] said walking over to the freezer and pulling out a huge jug of ice cream

"Want some?" He asked raising an eyebrow with a small mischievous smile

"We haven't eaten dinner yet." I said with a small laugh

"That's the fun in it. You're eating ice cream for dinner. You can't tell me you haven't wanted to do that before." He said placing the tub on the counter and starting to look through the drawer for an ice cream scoop

"What about the soup?" I asked sitting up from my chair. I still felt pain in my stomach but not as bad as before

"Ah well will just put in the Tupperware with the rest of the soup." He said as he continued to scoop more ice cream into the bowl

I didn't say anything else. I just opened the cabinet and brought out another bowl. When I placed it in front of [NAME] a smile spread across his face

"That's what I am talking about!" He said before placing a big scoop of ice cream in the bowl

We both sat in the front of the TV watching shows till the clock hit 2. "Oh shit. We should go to bed."[NAME] said as he stood up

I tried doing the same but a pain shot up and down my spine ending at my head making me groan in pain

"Oh shit...do you need my help?" He asked sincerely

"Uh yeah just like help me get up." I said looking down at the ground

After we walked to his room we both changed and went to bed. We laid there silently.
