Chapter 2: Axel

It was 6 months after Franzes moved to NYC because of his girlfriend. I moved on but there's still a part of me that haven't. I confessed to 2 people but got rejected. Let's throw back. 2 weeks after Franzes left. I realized I had 3 crushes. Yuri, Ben, and Theo. There was nothing special that happened with me and Yuri. We got close, I confessed, got rejected, came home crying to Niean. That happened with Ben and Theo. I moved on from them now. It's a Saturday, 6th of August. Me and Triana were planning to go to the mall to watch a movie later this night. It was 7:30 when she came to pick me up. I was gonna play a K-pop song on the radio as per usual, but she picked a song before me. It was a Taylor Swift song. I liked Taylor swift too but I usually play K-pop songs just to annoy her. We both sang along and danced to the the songs. She was pretty mad that I didn't get annoyed. When we arrived at the mall, we raced to the cinema place. And ofcorse, I won. We bought some pop corn and other snacks to eat during the movie. We picked a seat, and the chairs were so comfortable, I wanted to sit in it all day. There was this one boy sitting next to me. He was so talkative and would always talk to me about the movie. "This movie is so good. By the way, I'm Axel." He said. "Hi, I guess.." I replied. "And you are?" He asked. "I'm Myra" I said. The movie ended. Me and Triana raced back to her car. She won this time. We hopped on to her car, sang along to some more Taylor Swift songs, then I told her about Axel. "There was this one boy, he said his name was Axel. He talked to me all throughout the movie. He was so annoying" I said. "Wait... Axel? Axel López? I know him from school, he's in period 6 with us remember?" Triana said. I don't really remember him. "I bet he has a crush on you!!" Triana said. "Me?" I scoffed. "How much do you bet?". Me and Triana laughed then. Triana dropped me off at my house and it was 1AM. I wait straight to bed without a shower or changing my clothes. The next morning, as per usual, I showered, changed, ate breakfast, got picked up by Triana, got dropped off by Triana, had a boring day at 1st-5th period. When 5th period was dismissed I was so nervous. Not that I had a crush on him, but I was nervous that he'd like me. I didn't like him at all and I know what it feels like to get rejected. When I entered the classroom, he was sitting where Triana was supposed to be sitting. He said Triana traded seats with him. Ugh. He was so talkative, more talkative then before. He was also so weird. When 6th period was dismissed, I was super glad. I ran to 8th period. When school ended and Triana dropped me off at my house, I went straight to Niean. She thinks Axel is annoying too. I fell asleep at Niean's room. I woke up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare that Triana moves far away. But anyways, that doesn't really matter. I checked the time on my phone but I saw that I got a message from an unknown person. The messgae said "Hi, it's me Axel, do you wanna go to the movies after school?". He was so annoying, but I said yes so I could see how far it could go. The next day after school, Triana dropped me off at the movies. Axel was waiting for me outside. We bought some snacks and went inside. The movie was about to start so we rushed to a seat. The movie was so good, but Axel ruined it, he kept talking to me about stuff or spoiling the movie. At the end of the movie, Axel said "I wanna tell you something". In my mind, I said "oh no". "I like you" Axel said. I didn't know what to do. "Can we be more than friends?" Axel asked. "Omg really? I liked you too" I lied. I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I know he's annoying but I know what it feels like to be rejected. Axel hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe. "Let's go now, Triana's waiting for me." I said as an excuse. "See you tommorow!" I said running to Triana's car. "How'd it go?" Triana asked. "He asked me to be his girlfriend" I said while stressing. "Is that bad or good" Triana asked. "Bad!" I shouted. "What did you say?" Triana asked. "I said yes. I don't like him and I find him annoying, but it seems like he likes me so much and I know what it feels like to be rejected." I said. "Let's ask your sister for advice" Triana said while starting the car. When we arrived at my house, we both rushed to Niean's room and told her everything. Niean was surprised. She said It was nice that you didn't wanna hurt his feelings despite how much you think he's annoying, but you can't keep this up forever, his feelings will be hurt more when he finds out you lied to him." I thought about what Niean said all night, I ended up sleeping late, which means I also woke up late. I woke up to Niean in my room. She was waking me up. She told me I'm going to be late for school and she told Triana to go on without me. I changed and ate breakfast at Niean's car. Once I arrived at school, 1st period is almost gonna end. Everyone stared at me when I entered the room. It was such an exhausting day. After school, me, Triana, and Niean went on a girls night. We got our nails and hair done, and we went shopping for clothes and makeup. Niean paid for it all. At the car, Niean asked when I plan on telling Axel. "I don't know.." I said. Once we reached Triana's house, I asked Niean if I could sleep over with Triana. She said "sure, why not." Me and Triana were getting ready for bed. "We're you the one who told Axel my number?" I asked. "Maybe....." she said, then I hit her with a pillow while saying "you bastard" in a nice/bestie way. The next morning, we decided to skip school. We wore our uniform so Triana's family wouldn't be suspicious. Triana drives us to the mall. We had so much fun. It felt like we visited every store in the mall. I checked my watch and it was already 5 PM. It felt like it was still 8 AM. Well, time does fly when I'm having fun. While we were walking to the exit, we bumped into Axel who was just entering the mall. "Oh hey babe!" He told me. I admit, I kinda had butterflies when he said that, but it was still annoying. "Why were you both not in class?" Axel asked. "We were sick, but we're better now, so we decided to go here." Triana said. "Ohh" Axel said. "Do you wanna go to Starbucks with me?" Axel asked. "Sure!" Triana replied. "Oh, no, just me and Myra." Axel said. "O-oh okay, sure, why not." I said. "Bye bestie, I'll wait for y'all in the car." Triana said. Once we reached Starbucks, Axel pulled out a chair for me. We both sat and Axel said "I love you.". "I love you too?" I said. Once we finished our food, I said bye and walked to Triana's car. She was sleeping so I knocked on the window. "What took y'all so long" Triana asked. "I don't know." I replied. She drives me home and I went straight to bed because I had a headache. The next morning, I had no motivation to go to school. I feel like I'm one of those super villains from a TV shows. He loves me so much and I'm just playing with his feelings. I told my mom I was feeling sick, so she let me stay home, I told Niean that I lied to mom, she said it was okay and I should take a break. I also told Triana so she wouldn't pick me up. Niean left to hang out with her friends and mom and dad went to work. I was on my phone all day. I ordered chipotle online for lunch. When I was eating my food, I received a message from Axel saying "I'm so sorry!". I was about to chat Triana about how angry I am, but she was way ahead of me and said "don't worry, I just told him that you were sick, and he said "I'm sorry" because you are sick and not because you stayed home because of him." So I just sit back, and enjoyed the rest of my day. At 4:30 I took a little nap. I woke up at 8:00PM and Niean was in her room already. I suggested we watch a movie. We stayed up 'till 12 midnight with dinner in her room. The next day, I was ready to go to school. Triana picked me up. Then we reached school. I asked if we can talk, turns out she wanted to talk too. We looked for an empty classroom. Triana wanted me to go first. I said "I feel bad for lying to Axel that I like him, so I'm going to tell him today, I hope he won't get too upset." But then the door opened. I was Axel. He was listening to me this whole time. "Oh really..." Axel said then he ran off. "No wait!!!" I tried to go after him but Triana pulled my arm. "Let him go." She said. "It's my turn to say my news. And it's not good news." She teared up. "Wh-what is ur Triana??" I asked. "M-my parents got a job a-at Japan, we're moving there." she teared up after.  I teared up to. We both hugged each other "when are you going?" I asked. "Tomorrow. We got the news months ago but I didn't know how to tell you" Triana said. After school, I ran to Niean to vent. She gave me a big hug while I was crying. I fell asleep in her room once again. The next day, Niean drived me, Triana, Luis, her parents to the airport. When we arrived. I gave Triana a big big hug. "When will you come back?" I asked. "We'll see." Triana said. Triana hugged Luis after me. "I love you so much Luis. I know ending relationships are hard. I know, somewhere, in a parallel universe, we'll still be together." Triana said to Luis. Then Triana gave Luis a kiss on the lips. "I love you too. Please come back to me." Luis said to Triana. We all said bye to Triana and her family. I hope, in a parallel universe, we'll be besties forever.
