C ~ XVIII ~ Dumb Names 😹🦖

"I love you too, see you later." Y/n returned the smile before practically sprinting out the door and heading for the Gyrosphere Valley.

After about 8 minutes, Y/n managed to find Owen by the river he showed Henry, and eventually Owen and Claire. He hopped out of the Gyrosphere and rushed over to him and the baby dinosaur.

"Woah-" Y/n's mouth opened a bit at the sight, the Triceratops had blood all across its back leg while it wailed in pain.

"It doesn't appear to have any bite marks so it must've done something itself." Owen sighed, watching the Triceratops intently.

"We'll get that figured out later, just hold its leg up so I can wrap it up." Y/n took the bandages out of his bag, cupping some water with his hands and putting it on the baby's Triceratops' leg.

"So, how'd he react?" Owen asked, smiling slightly as he held the Triceratops' leg up while Y/n wrapped a bandage around it.

"Hm? Oh, he liked it, a lot, from his reaction at least." Y/n chuckled slightly, trying to focus on the bandages.

"What did you even carve again? I completely forgot." Owen continued talking, earning a irritated hum from Y/n.

"A little t-rex, nothing much, just carved out a silly shape and yeah, that's about it." Y/n shrugged, cutting the access bandage and making sure it's not too tight or loose on the baby dinosaurs leg.

"A what?" Owen chuckled, letting the dinosaurs leg down slowly.

"A little t-rex. I named him Tim but Henry doesn't need to know that." Y/n mumbled, putting the bandages back in his bag and dipping his hands into the river before drying them off on his jeans.

"You're ridiculous, you know that right?" Owen laughed, helping Y/n move the Triceratops over to the jeep Owen decided to take here.

"Really? Didn't you want to name one of the raptors a flower or something?" Y/n shook his head, hopping into the back with the baby dinosaur.

"And didn't you want to name one of them Orange peel or something?" Owen scoffed, starting the jeep.

"Hey, at least it's better than Charlie, what kind of name is that for a dinosaur? At least make it cool." Y/n rolled his eyes, glancing to the sleeping Triceratops on his lap (that fucker probably breaking his legs rn 😭).

"Yeah, like Wax is a good name for a dinosaur, not to mention for a yellow Parasaurolophus." Owen shook his head as he continued to drive.

"Hey, do not insult her like that! She is very happy with her name." Y/n muttered, petting the dinosaur on his lap.

"You better not name this one something dumb as well, like Marker or Fluff." Owen glanced back at Y/n and the Triceratops.

"What about.. Nail Pol-"

"You are NOT naming her Nail Polish." Owen interrupted Y/n, earning an offended and dramatic gasp.

"Okay, you come up with something BESIDES a military name." Y/n mocked him in a higher pitched voice.

"Yeah, no thanks." Owen sighed, slowing the jeep down.
