41| Queen Euphoria

"The war will stop; its happenings were foreseeable anyway. You have been my change dearie, you are just as important, more so to me, you mean everything to me~" I tell her. Then I whisper something else in her ear before giving her a kiss and teleporting away, this time, my voice uncontrollably falters.

I whisper, "I love you."

I don't know if I'll get another chance.

_No one's POV_

The Glitter Force are out of breath, out of stamina and power as they stagger and hold onto one another for support after getting knocked down for the fifth time by one of Emperor Nogo's negative energy blasts. Cuts, bruises, dirt, smears of blood and tears mark their bodies. This is the fifth time they have gotten up, and that's one too many. They have used Rainbow Burst, Tiara Mode, Phoenix Mode and Torrent, but to no prevail of course. Exhaustion takes over like wildfire.

"This is worthless!" Chokes Glitter Spring, now on the verge of tears. "We aren't strong enough. We've tried everything."

"No, no, no," Glitter Lucky desperately tries to counteract the negativity that has easily begun to spread, "we can! We always have, that's what we are here to do!"

"Emily, April's right," Glitter Sunny pants, hands on her knees, "we need an extra hand, we can't do this all on our own."

"What about the Queen!?" Croaks Glitter Peace.

Glitter Lucky sighs in defeat, "She's busy fighting Emperor Nogo's army! Even strong people have limits." Then the girl bursts into tears. "I'm sorry," she sniffles, but pure pain and agony take over her face, "I just can't stop thinking about – "

"I know," Glitter Breeze places a solemn hand on her shoulder. "But it wasn't your fault. It was his choice, and he did it to protect you." But even she begins to cry. "Ricky would have wanted us to keep fighting."

"But I don't have anything left to give." Glitter Spring whimpers.

"Face it Emily," Glitter Sunny says to her, "We've lost. We were always going to."

All the remaining positivity left inside all five girls evaporates, and in horror, they watch as they all slink to the ground, producing negative energy.

"YES! I feel the despair! Give it all to me Glitter Force! You know you will never be a match for my power, so why not sacrifice more!?" Emperor Nogo groans in delight as he sucks the energy right up, becoming more and more powerful.

The group looks at each other in defeat. The goons were right. Rascal was right. He's won. The unhappy ending was unfortunately inevitable and all that will be left of the earth, of the galaxy, will be despair for all of Emperor Nogo's army to rein free. No more pain and power should be wasted on something that isn't going to happen anyway.

Far away, where Queen Euphoria provides the pixies with her strength, she looks up to see the Glitter Force in trouble, sending positive energy their way to protect them.

Positive energy clashes against Nogo's negative energy burst.

"Woah." Is an understatement. The air fills with light, rocks explode and a forcefield is placed over the girls when Euphoria beats the Emperor.

"Wait guys...look."

Through the forcefield, all the five girls turn at once, then their eyes widen instantly, warmth uncontrollably filling their hearts, the negative energy disappearing and they are finally able to stand again.

Through the bright energy, flying rocks and arrows and more, they see something that has been consistent since the beginning, and the Glitter Force have no choice but to find comfort in that.
