NEYTIRI always saw Alyara like her own daughter. The woman had known Tsu'tey for her entire life, and even when she mated with Jake, Neytiri cared about her friend.

To her, as to everyone, it had been a surprise seeing Tsu'tey carrying a woman mid labor shouting for help.

The woman was not from the Omaticaya, she was from another clan. Something Neytiri would always remember was the woman squeezing her hand as she begged Neytiri to take the baby out of her, her green eyes begged Neytiri for hours. The color of her eyes was a memory embedded in her mind forever.

Neytiri never got a chance of asking about the woman to Tsu'tey before he was also killed.

Tsu'tey also begged to Neytiri. He begged, on his last breath, to make sure Alyara was loved. Neytiri nodded with tears in her eyes.

Alyara would be loved until the last day in her life. It was a promise Neytiri took with her.

Always, as Neytiri looked at the girl, the big green eyes of Alyara reminded Neytiri of her two promises.

Alyara stared at Neytiri with curious eyes. The woman had been looking at the exact same spot on the ground for a long time now.

"Tiri?" The teenager asked carefully. "Are you okay?"

Neytiri blinked a few times, trying to get her mind off of her old friend. "Yes, of course." She quickly looked up to the girl, a smile in her lips. "So, how are you going?" She tried to change the subject.

Alyara sighed dramatically. "This is the worst one at the time." She looked down to her hands, a small chuckle leaving her lips.

Neytiri had been teaching Alyara how to make her own arrows. Even if the girl was skilled on many thing, patience was not one of the things. It's was a very bad habit of hers, Mo'at was working with Alyara about it.
