Everything seems to be running smoothly in the company. Reagan is Cognito's CEO. Rand and JR are in prison. And surprisingly, everyone was doing their work without complaints.
Reagan was delighted with her work, but her mind was restless. She couldn't stop thinking about Orrin, and what could have happened to him.

"Good morning Boss!"
Reagan was sitting behind her desk in a fancy, expensive chair she had chosen. Part of her inevitable takeover was to get a throne-like chair. Of course, she did not expect it to cause as severe back pain as it had.
"Good morning, Brett," she mumbled, staring at her right hand as he brought her coffee and breakfast (things that she had not requested) to her desk.
"You know what would help that terrible backache? Some exercise!" Brett cheered, throwing himself to the floor, commencing a set of push-ups still in his office clothes.
"Brett, stop trying to get me into exercise. And breakfasting. Healthy habits are not for me. Nor are ethics."
Yes, Reagan had been a little, just slightly depressed. It was not fun at all being the boss if there weren't any problems occurring. Yes, the idea of her being in charge meant keeping world peace and stability. However, she did not expect stillness to be this boring.
The man finished the set and recovered his position.
"Don't blame me, Reags. I am just trying to keep you moving. You've been trapped in here for the past few weeks. You haven't even come down to your lab," he frowned, holding his hands in front of him and fidgeting with his fingers. He had been feeling anxious since Reagan left his side and he became the sole leader of the team. Decision-making was tough, especially when he constantly tried to maintain everyone happy.
"I know, I know, it's just..." she paused, sighting and turning her chair around, looking at the enormous screen that showed video footage of key points in the building, "everything has been very calm. When I am not solving problems, I am left alone with my mind."
Brett immediately understood what that meant. He would also be depressed if he were left alone with his thoughts.
"Well, the world still isn't perfect. I'm sure a problem will come up soon. Maybe a deathly threat will knock on our door."
"I really hope so."
They both laughed at their words. They were terrible people.
"Maybe we can get you something to do. I saw a board you did with my pictures and all that red string hanging around. Oh, never mind, those were your memories." Brett led his fingers to his chin. His mind was a little messed up from the lack of sleep he'd had the last couple of days, "Maybe we could invent a new conspiracy theory. Let's spread the rumor that Princess Diana is still alive, and that is why so many people have 'seen' her!" Brett exclaimed and jumped, proud of his idea.
Reagan raised an eyebrow, "Did the clone department accidentally let out Diana's clones?"
Brett remained quiet.
"No."
"Now that you mention that trip to my weird, conspirators brain, I kinda been thinking of something," she turned herself again, facing her best friend, "I never told you who Orrin was, did I?"
"Was? What do you mean? They were a person?"
"Yeah" she chuckled. "Turns out that Rand erased my memory because I didn't want to skip fourth grade; I had made this friend named Orrin. I don't remember anything about him yet, but he seemed to enjoy our friendship. I am just wondering..."
She did not finish her sentence, but Brett knew exactly what she meant.
"Reagan, I must tell you. I won't rest, sit, or leave this building until we have found your very first best friend because as your current best business friend, I must do anything to make you happy," the woman stood up from her chair and ran towards Brett, giving him a powerful high-five. They had a plan.
And Brett was delighted that he wouldn't need to go home after all.
