"Boo!" I whisper shouted behind Jamie Pratt, as she let out a shrill scream and jumped. Me, my best friend Mariah and the popular clique giggled and laughed teasingly.
"Oh seriously, Jamie, what's so scary about that?" scoffed my friend, Jessica sporting a crop top and tennis skirt.
"Who knows? She's such a weirdo," replied her best friend, Jade, adjusting her golden sun necklace.
Jamie ran away with her head down, and we went to get our textbooks from the lockers. Applying a layer of shimmery pink lip gloss, Mariah asked me, "So, how are things between you and Leo?"
Blushing, I replied: "I, uh...,"
Mariah giggled at my response, and teased: "You two are such a cute couple," while everyone in our clique agreed with nods. Dude, we're not even a couple yet.
"Umm guys, Jade, what about you? How's your crush?" I asked mockingly.
"Hey! How should I know?" she asked, blushing.
Jade is the girl wearing a short lavender dress and black heels. She turned away, swinging her long hair to hide her emotions.
"Talking about crushes, what about you and him?" I asked a blushing Jeslyn, giving her a gentle squeeze.
Just as we were talking, Mariah's boyfriend Jay, came over and gave her a quick kiss. Everyone "aww"ed. Mariah's straight blonde hair swayed behind her as she walked off with Jake, and they looked so cute!!! Soon, the bell rang and we all rushed to class.
My first period was with Leo, and he gave me a sweet smile that melted my heart. Gesturing for me to sit with him, I refused, because I didn't want to seem like an easy-to-get kind of girl. Ha! Nonnie and Jade sort of sniggered and whispered to each other.
"You showed him, Kath, he won't try to break you, or else he'll get destroyed." said Nonnie with a proud smile.
