To Be, or Not to Be

You came on strong like timber in the waterfall

Galloping the currents like a porcelain fish

Now, you're steady eyes, ears press the ground

Listening for the remnants of a phantom wish

I've swallowed all your roses, caught the thorns in my eyes

Trampling through daisies like a golden sea

Begging for the victory of a passing lullaby

Chartered up and mapped, unsure of where to be

Whisper unto me your misery

Murmur unto me your indignant song

Flatten the scrolls in your wandering heart

Tell me, where in your future I belong

The dispute I hear like a whispering bell

Rejoicing over my house just like rain

Coming down like tears in my water spout

Back into the garden again where I am slain

Your textured maps, you're topograph

Leads me into the hills and left for dead

I'm at home asleep, gravity wears out my feet

I'll just leave it all in bed
