I woke up to the heavy strum of the guitar and banging drums from The Who's "Heaven and Hell". So early? I yawned loudly, and sat up stretching my arms over my head.
It was the last day of Woodstock. I frowned, only one more day?
I got dressed and climbed out of the flap of the tents' opening. All the others were still sleeping so I began to cook pancakes over a fire with a pan I had brought along with me. Soon the aroma brought the others out of their van and I served them. Eden took the syrup and began to pour more and more on her pancakes until I could barely tell there was anything else on the plate.
When she saw my face she laughed. "I love sugar."
"I guess so," I laughed.
After we finished our breakfast, we went to the stage to watch The Who perform. "It's a Boy" rang loudly from the speakers as I bounced along to the heavy drum beat.

After they finished, Jefferson Airplane came onstage to play, and Eden squealed in delight, a smile filling both of our faces.
Eden smiled brightly to me, and asked, "would you like to dance?"
I laughed brightly, nodding and taking her hand. We danced together, our bodies swaying together, hitting at just the right times, our heads nodding a lot, and she twirled me around.
"Don't you want somebody to love?" she sang to me, and I laughed. "Don't you need somebody to love?"
Soon the show was finished and we went back to our little spot, and joined the rest of the group, listening to Joe Cocker in the background.
"Hey." John smiled. "Want some more acid?" he asked. How often did he take that stuff? I nodded anyway. There wasn't really any harm in it anyway. I slid the little piece of paper onto my tongue, sinking into the grass a little. I closed my eyes, floating farther into it. Until I felt a hand on my arm. I opened my eyes.
"Wanna go to the river?" Eden blushed gently. I nodded, following her to the stream. The trees were luminous, and way puffier than I had ever noticed before. The stream was flowing quicker than before. I dipped my toes into the water, and held my breath as the cool water ran over my feet.
I pulled my shirt off over my head, and slipped the skirt off my thick legs, pulling the rest of the undergarments off my body, I submerged myself under the water, gasping as the icy water ran over my body. I let out a soft sigh. I looked to the twisting shore bank, Eden watching me unsurely as she pulled her clothes off. Their was a soft gentle curve to her hips, and a curve where her legs met her hips, and a curve where her stomach met her chest, and a curve where her neck met her beautiful brown hair. She was the type of girl that made you appreciate curves- notice them. Curved had never seemed more important in my life. She was gorgeous, and I looked away quickly, even though I had been staring already.
She slid into the water, her head bobbing over the waves smiling gently at me.
"It's cold." she laughed.
I laughed. She splashed me with water, I splashed her back, laughing. We played in the water, the waves twisting around me. Soon I swam to the bank, laying down in the sand. The sun was shining brightly, warming my skin. I let out a soft sigh. I closed my eyes, bathing in the sunlight.
I opened my eyes gently as I heard a splash of water. Eden was laying on her side to me, blinking gently. My eyes lingered on her slightly parted lips, and I glanced away, hopefully before she noticed. I closed my eyes again. This time, I could feel her body slide closer to me.
"I'm cold." she whimpered softly. I opened my eyes, looking at her, her side was pressed against mine, and her eyes were wide.
"Umm... s-sor-" I started, but was cut off by her lips pressing into mine. My eyes widened in shock as her lips pressed a bit harder. I closed my eyes slowly, slowly moving my lips. This couldn't be real. My head was screaming at me, I could feel my heart beat faster than before. My hands met her waist as my fingers danced across her hip bone. I kissed her longingly, as she pulled away. My eyes opened slowly. This couldn't be real. Could it?
I ran my fingers through her wet hair gently, watching her adoringly.
She suddenly stood up. "I-I'm sorry." I stood up confused. She began pulling her clothes on.
"Eden," my voice came out higher than I expected. I cleared my throat. "It's alright, really." She just turned away, pulling her skirt up and hurrying away.
I sighed, confusedly as I turned around, quickly pulling my clothes on over my wet body.
I hurried down the path. What had I done?
I came to our camp ground, "where is Eden?" I asked John.
"She went to get something to eat." he shrugged. I sighed. He raised an eyebrow, "is everything alright?"
"Yeah." I said my heart falling.
I went back to my tent as Janis Joplin was singing.
"Take another little piece of my heart now, baby!
Oh, oh, break it!"
I lay on my makeshift bed. Had I imagined it? Some weird acid trip?
No, it felt too real. I sighed gently. Had I done something wrong?
The tent door opened, and Eden stepped inside. Her wet hair laying messily on her shoulders.
I sat up. "Hey, Skye..." I held my breath. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just left you there..." she trailed off.
"It's alright." I glanced down.
"Not really..." she said. "But I, hmm I meant it." she said suddenly. Looking up at me. "I meant the kiss, really." her voice dropped quieter again. "Ever since I met you I felt something different for you... I understand if you don't like me that way..."
"I do," I said quickly, then blushed. "I really do."
She smiled brightly, color flooding into her cheeks.
She leaned forward again, her soft lips pressing into mine. I smiled into her lips.
Suddenly falling in love never felt better.
