Everlasting is of which having no beginning or end, personae, forever eternal. For Kunikuzushi, it isn't some dream, it's his hopeful reality.
He once had a friend that was human, but consumed by fear, Kunikuzushi was seen as an abomination. He eventually ratted him out to the bounty hunters. In the end, he died in the hands of a blade.
After that, he found someone just like him, a hope for the future, a fledgling barely out of its nest. But powerless before his mortality, he broke his promise.
So, to die by a human, his fury would never quell, he'd denounce the world and laugh in its face before that ever happened.
"Clean up the dead bodies; round up the breathing ones, and bring them to the basement." Kunikuzushi said, holding his blade.
"After that?" The guards said.
"FIND ANSWERS!! I THOUGHT IT WAS OBVIOUS!!" He yelled.
