Fantasizing how that cold air is brisk
Vandalizing my body the way it frisks
Searching for heat I keep in my heart
And the grace I hold in these inner parts

The hours in the day are fleeting
And wind chills at night greet me
They meet me at the tip of the summit
The last bite of summer left my stomach

Leaving a growling, as loud as the wind is howling
I was cowering for cover under the blankets of lovers
Frozen limbs of a bird my wings would never flutter
The warmest welcome from winter as my soul
shutters
