"I may bite more than I can chew." She muttered, deflated.
"Please, can you escort her home while I take care of our late-time guests? It is quite dark out there. We don't want our precious maid taken by some devil, do we?" Gillian glanced at the two still standing near the entrance. Already suspecting they were up to no good.
"Ah! Of course! I need to take down the dogs for a walk anyway. A moment and I will be here."
"Are you sure it is fine? I don't want to bother him with this — especially so late."
"Nah! You heard him! He needs to take down the dogs for a walk anyway. They become restless if they are cramped inside for a whole day."
"Hmm, understandable. Poor dogs really deserve a little walk."
"I hope it is not a problem if he escorts you home instead of me. If he gives you trouble, just say it, and I will punish him harshly." Gillian shook her fist playfully.
"Nah! I don't complain!" Aika waved away Gillian's worry, then looked around subtly before leaning closer, whispering. "Besides, he is hot! From someone like him, I wouldn't mind a ride." She grinned, winking sultry.
"Right..." This was too much information even for Gillian. In fact, it made her shudder. "Too much info."
"Shall we go, Kiryuu-chan?" Rorschach stepped out once more from the staff area. On his side, the two dogs are panting excited — knowing what will come.
"Yeah, right. We shall go. Thanks for the job and taking care of me."
"We meet tomorrow." Gillian waved as Kiryuu and Rorschach left. The moment they did so, the two "guests" approached the counter.
One of them was a man with long black hair hidden under a fedora, wearing a stylish long coat. A beautiful girl stood on his side, having black hair that ends in red and metallic blue — with heterochromatic eyes taking a similar color.
Her attire was quite strange, a red, knee-length pleated skirt, a blue blouse that is open in the back, and wearing white and black fingerless gloves on each hand.
"Welcome to our establishment. What can I do for you?"
"We came..." The man wanted to speak, but Gillian preceded him — cutting him abruptly.
"Ah! I recognize you! You were the one who tried to blow up my shop two days ago! Came back to apologize? Hmm?" Gillian raised her brow, crossing her arms as she eyed the girl.
"I..."
"Well... I don't mind! Accidents happen! Just apologize." Her sudden turn of mood caught both new guests off guard, looking at each other confused.
"It was her?" Asked the man, hiding his red eyes under his hat.
"Tch! Why should I apologize!? You destroyed my arse! You almost killed me with that move — Perverted magician!"
Magician? Really? Why does everyone think she is a mage? She is the farthest thing from that.
"Hmm, it seems you don't want to apologize, young lady. In that case, I ask you to leave my shop. Coming here at night is one thing. Throwing half-dead people through my window and planning to blow up my shop is another matter. It is rude, you know?" Writing something on a paper, Gillian pushed it before the girl. "This is the cost of repair for the window and the sidewalk you destroyed — the rest is reparation for disturbing my rest. Until you pay, you are banned." Gillian pointed towards the door, urging the girl to leave the café.
"Now go before I throw you out." She was serious! The player even offered her "weighty" glare to the one before her.
"Tch! Last time I held back because I thought you were a simple magician! But now, I will skewer you!" Standing up, an aura of might surrounded the girl as she leaned forward. Her glare pierced Gillian — who still stood unimpressed, arms crossed.
