"Oh! There is no betrayal here. Our contract states I can invoke their name if their subordinates threaten me..."
"I am not his...!?" The fallen leader hissed up. Even mentioning him on the same page as that traitor Azazel was an offense! If not for him ordering a retreat, they could have won!
"...Or even call them if they try to mess with me. Don't interrupt me, please." The glare the player shot for Kokabiel was chilling — even he must admit that. Whatever she was, human or not, she was definitely not normal.
"Haaah! As said, we are only business partners, nothing else. Who I business with, it's my own choice. I am a neutral party, as many call me. I have no interest in your pitiful conflicts." After all, in a war, picking sides usually leads to loss. Selling to everyone regardless of side brings profit regardless of who wins.
"Though I am curious what you will do next, maybe I can profit from it." Hummed Gillian thinking.
"That's why I don't tell anyone about this visit — nor your unruly behavior. Just do your stuff, play around and keep our meeting here for yourself. If you prove yourself with this plan, I may offer you my services. Hell, I might even consider giving that sword back to you — or at least invite you to the auction. Can you do that to me, would you?"
"You're really dancing on thin ice." Kokabiel's eyes squinted angrily.
"Yet, you will do nothing right now. Am I right? Or, would you?" Only anger-filled silence was her answer.
"You know... I like entrepreneurial spirits like you because they don't laze around but trying to do something new. That's why I tell you only once. I can be a great ally but also your greatest nightmare." She repeated what Kokabiel said.
"Don't threaten what is mine; you do what you want, just keep my rules: Don't speak about me. Don't double-cross me, and don't touch what is mine! Stay away from my territory!" Gillian opened a finger after each element on her list, her tone just like her eyes mirroring complete coldness.
"Keep these rules, and we can play nicely. Violate them, and even Azazel, but not even the Maou can save you from a fate worse than death — That, I can promise."
"Hmm..." Both Mertina and Kokabiel eyed the girl with anger and suspicion, unable to tell if she was really serious.
"You will not get away with this. Once my plan succeeds...!"
"Yeah! Yeah! Right! Typical "once it happens" threat... BORING! Prove you can do it! Until that, you are but empty threats and talk! I met many people like you — barking louder than biting."
"Tch!"
"You know... you come here in the middle of the night, threatening me, endangering my well-earned vacation and business! You have some guts, I admit it..." The way Gillian's eyes glowed up made both Kokabiel and Mertinia feel unease, almost like they stepped inside a predator's field of vision.
"...But even my patience has limits. You have three chances to play nice! Take it, or suffer the consequences. Play around as much as you want. I don't care, just don't disturb my rest and what's mine. If you do it, I will turn you into a living onahole! Hmm? Or a cockring for an Evil Lord? I don't know? Which do you prefer?"
"Just who do you think you are?"
"Hmm, for now, a simple nobody. The owner of this splendid maid café. But if you continue poking me..." Gillian started to scratch her head, tilting her head with an innocent expression that slowly twisted into a "friendly" smile — a "smile" that made even Kokabiel feel unease the moment her neck cracked in an unnatural position.
