"Ah! I promise! I will pay it back! Just..."

"I am out of money! Ok!" Shouted Aika, making many people watch the duo in the street. "I spent my whole monthly allowance already. I am broke!" Her arms hung already, defeated by her own greed.

"Damn! This is only the sixth day of the month. How were you able to spend it all?"

"I-I have expenses, you know?"

"What expenses?"

"Expenses..." muttered the girl, embarrassed and red. "My parents will kill me..." Only now she realized what she had done.

"Surely they will..." Gillian can't help but wink a snarky smile and a low but gloating cackle. She tried to suffocate it, but she was unable entirely. Her friend's misery was just pure fun!

"Th-that's not funny! This is serious! If they get to know..."

"They will kill you..." Mumbled Gillian chuckling again smugly.

"I said, not funny!"

"Haah..." Gillian shook her head. This girl was incorrigible. Still, she was amusing enough to keep her around, and aside from Kiba, maybe the only person she can really call a friend in this world.

"Hmmm... anyway, as I don't really have money, I wanted to ask..."

"Here you are!" In the next moment, a cute girl in a succubus cosplay handed a pamphlet to Kiryuu, interrupting her.

She was about to hand Gillian one too, but she started to shudder and walked away as fast as possible when their eyes met. It was almost like she recognized her and had an intuitive feeling to get away.

"There is a group who are scamming people in this city." Snatching the paper away from her friend's hand, Gillian glared at the symbol before pocketing it. "...They promise you heaven and earth, but if you can't pay for their services, they'll probably take your soul too."

"I see... thanks, I guess." Kiryuu sweatdropped. It was not likely she would take this pamphlet seriously. Still, her friend did the right thing saving her from a possibly bad idea. In the end, she might end up as a sex slave in the Chinese black market.
