Chapter 11: How to Hunt down an Immortal

Start from the beginning

"Well then, let's start..." Gillian stood up, clapping her armored palms together.

"If you wait a minute, I would like to explain my plan. Then you can also do the same, so we can make corrections. Somehow, you forgot to do so before you left..." Rias reasoned, a little bit glaring at the girl.

"Not accidentally..." Hummed the player. "One, we already discussed your plan before I left. I might imagine the changes you made were minimal..."

Rias lowered her head while crossing her arms. "That's true..."

"Two. Further analyzing the data while I was away. I came up with at least a hundred ways to proceed with this match and earn a victory. Obviously, each for different situations. Optimized for our enemies and all kinds of environment."

"A-A hundred!?" Issei paled. Damn! And his only plan was to beat the enemy to crap. What more can he do?

"Three. According to Grayfia-san, this match will take a while — saying, you or the enemy not blitzing each other." What was possible. Either because Riser becomes impatient and wants to end the match fast, or sending in all his pawns to promote them right away.

"Hmm... then?"

"As said, this match can take a while. The enemy numbers are higher than yours. Even with Asia-chan and me, they grossly outnumber you. Perfect for search and capture operations."

"Search and capture?" Issei blinked.

"Exactly. They can form parties directly aiming to disable and capture individual members. If that happens, they can drag you back to their base to extract information by torture or other mind control or scan methods."

"Bu-Buchou... they can do that!?"

"Tch! Don't be ridiculous. This is a rating game. They will not do such a thing." Rias scoffed. Just how can she come up with such a thing?

"You are saying this, but as I heard Grayfia-san, there is no rule against it. In fact, the first thing I would do is to either scramble your communication or recover one of these communication devices Akeno-chan handed me. Then use the frequency to spy on you. More so, with the same frequency, your exact position can be pinpointed, which means the enemy will know your exact position."

"You thought everything, didn't you?"

"Bad habit. Always assume the worst. Then use that as a base to come up with even worse scenarios. You will see, the number of nasty surprises will drastically drop if you think like this."

"And you also waste your precious time by worrying about unnecessary things."

"Maybe, but better than to be caught off guard..."

She walked near the box, inputting the code on the numeric lock, and the sizable metal box hissed and opened — revealing what looked like a small armory of different weapons and tools.

"Take your pick..."

"You can't be serious! Using guns is...!?" Rias knew well, the use of one 's own weapons was allowed. Still, guns? Really?

"...Not against the rules." Gillian finished dismissing Rias's claims. "The data you provided showed the clear sign. You devils are not bulletproof." At least, not people on Rias or her group's level. People like Azazel and Sirzechs, though, were entirely another matter — probably.

"Use them, or not, I don't care. They are just another option for you. Though, knowing your lack of firearm training, I advise using only the weapons on the right side. You can find magazines and pistols filled with tranquilizer darts, also, modified electroshock weapons. They are capable of knocking an elephant unconscious for a day in mere seconds. Be careful not to shoot yourself in the leg or try to lick them..."
