Chapter 11: How to Hunt down an Immortal

"Kiba Yuuto, I commend you. It has been a long time since I had an opponent like you."

"You as well, not bad." Kiba offered a nod as the two interlocked their swords.

"What do you say? Shall we finish this warm-up and start to fight seriously?"

"Ah, very well..."

The girl suddenly ignited her sword, making flames surround it and blow away Kiba's sword of darkness.

"Now, your Sacred Gear won't work on me anymore. It is time to end this!"

"Then, I also tell you this. This isn't everything of my Sacred Gear. But you are right. It is time to end this..."

"Wha...!? Nonsense, as the Knight of the Gremory...!"

"...Freeze." Just as these words left Kiba's mouth, his sword started to turn to ice, catching Karlamine off guard and making the intense flames around her sword turn dimmer and dimmer with each second.

"I don't like this... You two! Help her! I will..." Ravel gave the command, and the two Rook were on to move when several cylinder-like objects rolled under them... The three girls barely recognized it before it was too late.

Pushing back Karlamine, Kiba closed his eyes and covered his ears.

A deafening sound encompassed the whole area paired with blinding light.

Devils can hear and see better than humans. Their senses are much sharper too. Most of the time, this was an advantage in itself. Yet, when it came to attacks aimed against the senses, they were much more vulnerable.

The devils were completely stunned and vulnerable! The perfect moment to strike!

Using this perfect opportunity, an armored figure dashed out from the woods behind the group. Her steps like a ghost, despite being fully armored, moving silently under the confusion.

'Smash!'

The two Rooks were still too dizzy to react in time, and a mighty blow sent them to the ground crashing.

"Guahhh!"

The bulky glowed hands grabbed their head forcefully and smashed them to the ground again and again from behind!

They had an iron grip! Never let them slip for a moment! The two girls felt as if their heads could split at any moment!

They tried to recover and defend themselves, just to an electric shock threw them back again to their helpless state, making the two girls convoluting endlessly as their bodies refused to answer their call.

"Guuuh! That was dirty!" Still barely seeing and her ears ringing, Ravel raised her arm and shot a blast of fire to her most likely opponent's direction.

The armored figure rolled away just in time, and the attack hit the two helpless Rook. Normally, such an attack wouldn't send them packing right away. But being injured previously and the violent treatment this mysterious fighter gave them was enough to knock them out from the match in an instant!

[Riser Phenex two Rooks retreated from the game!] Grayfia announced once again.

"Yo-You damn bastard!" Karlamine gritted her teeth in anger, still confused and dizzy from the blast. "The honor of a knight means nothing to you!?"
