"If you helped me unpack instead of being a couch potato" Caleb said as he flashed me a sarcastic smile. I rolled my eyes.

Before I could say something snarky back at him, however, I feel my phone vibrate.

Hey, it's River. Here's the geolocation of the party tn. He texts. I immediately click on the link and upon seeing that it's only a couple of blocks away from my apartment, I immediately get off the couch.

Of course, my sudden action surprised Caleb who most likely thought that I took him up on his offer to unpack, but as soon as he sees me go to my room, the almost happy face on his face faded and turned into a disappointed one.

An hour later, I walked out of my bedroom fully ready to attend my first college party, while Caleb was now chilling in the couch.

As soon as he saw me, however, his eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.

"Heading somewhere?" He asked

"My first college party" I tell him as I sit beside him so I could put my shoes on.

"Alone? No you're not" Caleb said, making me scoff

"Relax. I'm bringing Hailey" I tell him as I put my other shoe on, now getting his full attention upon hearing Hailey's name.

"What the hell is she gonna do if you get in trouble?" Caleb asks sarcastically. I simply roll my eyes and let out a laugh before getting up and full on ignoring him.

Like I expected, as soon as I got to Hailey's apartment next door, she completely had no idea that I was gonna take her to a party.

Of course it took a little bit convincing, but I managed to get her to come with me.

But as Hailey dragged herself to her bathroom, I started to get nervous. Which I completely had no idea why.

So while Hailey got ready, I started going through her kitchen. Knowing Hailey, there was probably a bottle of tequila or vodka in here somewhere that she stole off her parent's alcohol cabinet.

After downing myself in a couple of shots simultaneously, I start feeling my head begin to spin, making me grab the edge of the countertop to keep my balance. I now regret wearing my stilettos.

"What the hell are you doing, Casey?" Hailey says as she rushes over to me as she helps me go to the couch.

"I'm fine. I'll be fine when you're done getting ready" I tell Hailey. She hesitates for a bit before letting go of me so she could finish getting ready.

"You call an uber yet?" Hailey shouted from her bedroom as I massaged my temple.

"Nah, it's walkable" I yell back.

"You should probably go back to your apartment and change your shoes then" Hailey tells me as she sits down beside me so she could put her shoes on.

I laugh as I look at her outfit.

Don't get me wrong—there is nothing wrong with her outfit. She looks hot af!

It's just that we were both so different from each other, and our outfits were a dead giveaway.

While I knew I was gonna struggle to walk at the party because I was wearing a tight dress and heels, Hailey was gonna walk that distance comfortably while wearing her black corset top, tan trousers, and block heels that was a lot easier to walk with unlike these devil shoes I had on.

"You ready to go? Or do you want me to get you some water?" Hailey asked as she got up and placed her hands on her hips as she looked at me.

"Lezgo!" I say as I stand up faster than I should've, immediately making my head spin again.
