*After the crackstone battle had ended*
After Enid had fought off the Hyde, she hurriedly went back to Nevermore in her bloodstained and injured state.
"Where's Wednesday?" Enid called out frantically. She had to make sure she was safe before she could rest easy. The crowd parted just in time to reveal Wednesday at the end, standing in all her glory. As soon as Wednesday had caught a gimpse of Enid, her eyes softened as she rushed to Enid.
Enid tried to fight off her tears that were threatening to fall at the sight of Wednesday safe and sound. She spread her arms, ready to embrace her in a tight hug, when she remembered.
"Not a hugger, got it." She mumbled.
She saw something flash in Wednesday's eyes, hurt, maybe? But it was gone in a flash before she could tell.
But to her absolute shock, Wednesday flung her arms around her and pulled her in for a bear hug. Enid stiffened for a moment before relaxing in her arms, feeling the safest she's ever been.
"I thought I'd lost you," Wednesday whispered in her ear, but so that only Enid could hear. Enid felt her face heat up at the sensation of Wednesday's warm breath against her ear.
Just then, Wednesday pulled back. "Why is your face so red?" She asked cluelessly. Enid tripped over her words as she tried to think of an excuse, but her brain couldn't seem to make her mouth form any words.
"I...I'm just g-glad that you're safe as well!"
Wednesday narrowed her eyes at Enid but luckily, she didn't seem to ask any more questions.
"Come on, let's go back to our dorm and get our wounds cleaned up," Enid urged, desperate to change the subject. She pushed Wednesday towards the school gates as once again, the students moved aside to let them pass. Thing jumped on Enid's shoulder to hitch a ride back to the dorm.
----
As soon as they got back to their dorm, Wednesday seemed to relax a little and her stiff shoulders loosened. They both went to the bathroom to wash their bloody hands and when Enid reached for the soap, their fingers touched lightly. Wednesday felt as if a surge of electricity suddenly traveled up her whole arm as she jerked it back quickly.
"O-oh, sorry." Enid apologized.
"It is okay Enid, I know that it was an accident." Wednesday replied as she regained her composure and dried her hands on a towel.
Wednesday had locked herself in the bathroom and kicked Enid out to take off her bloody clothes. She needed privacy. Since her arm was injured, she couldn't seem to reach her back to unzip her uniform and when she realised she needed someone else to help her unzip it, she cursed under her breath. She mustered up her dignity and called out, "Uh, Enid?"
Wednesday heard the shuffling of footsteps. "Yes?"
"Could you help me unzip my uniform? I'll unlock the door." Wednesday muttered.
Before Enid could react, the door was already swinging open, revealing Wednesday. She turned around and mumbled, "Get on with it."
Suddenly presented with such a task, Enid was flustered, but she calmed herself down. It was okay. They were both girls. Nothing to worry about.
Enid reached out and putting her hand lightly on Wednesday's shoulder for support, she took the zipper and pulled it down. Wednesday's uniform slowly peeled off to reveal her bra straps and Enid tried not to blush.
