"Wake Up" Avatar Neteyam x Reader

I - How did I end up here? (Y/N)

The smell of the ocean was the first thing you encountered. As your eyes started to blink rapidly, you regain consciousness and an extremely uncomfortable feeling travels up your spine.

"Uggghhh, what's going on, and why the heck am I all wet." Shit looks like after I fell into the ocean I washed up here. Ok Y/N pull yourself together.

You sit up on the sand and examine yourself, making sure you didn't have an injury on your body. Once you feel that you are in good shape, you turn your gaze to what surrounds you. Water for miles in front, greenery behind you, and then just sand. You stand up, stretch, and walk in whatever direction your gut told you to. You decide to walk west from the place you were just sitting on. As you walk, greenery to your right and water to your right, you stumble upon a small pool of water, excluded from the rest of the ocean with rocks. You continue to observe and walk until you see a tall blue man at the small pool. You figured he was an Avatar like you from his long braid, tail, and blue skin. However, his appearance was strangely fascinating. He didn't resemble any Avatar you know from your home. His blue skin was a cool tone, medium blue, and his tail was thin.

Woah. He looks different from people back home. I mean I did hear about other Avatars but I never could imagine what they looked like.

You decided to observe him more, quietly. But it seems that wasn't going to work out as you step on a shell and let out a yelp at the sharp pain on your foot.

SHIT. Great now he knows I'm here. The strange man quickly snapped his head toward your direction and makes eye contact. He seems confused at your appearance. Compared to him, your blue skin was way paler and lighter. White fur adorned your arms, legs, and tail, as well as, white hair, braided in a completely different way than his.

"Neteyam!" Someone yells from the right of both of you.

"Coming!" he says in a deep voice, matching his strong appearance.

His gaze leaves you in the direction the voice came from. Before leaving he looks back at you and then runs to the person. Neteyam must be his name. I'm going to follow him and see if I can get help to figure out where tf I am.
