*~Chapter 3~*

I called out to the twins "You heard her let's move! Akari make sure to stay out of sight"

"Yes Captain!" Akari spoke.

Running down the street further we were stopped by an explosion coming from inside a house. Turns out the Rabit was inside the house and decided it wanted some fresh air, so it busted a hole in the house. It stepped outside and turned to the left to come face-to-face with us.

"Remeber guys this thing's goal is to capture you so don't stop moving" I say.

The Rabit launched itself at us. The twins jumped bakcwards pointing their guns and shooting it while I jumped in the air and landed behind the Rabit. While the twins drew it's attention I snuck up behind it to cut it down.

Well that had been the plan, but just before I could land a strike it had jumped in the air to avoid my attack. 

"Tch so it's a smart Neighbour how annoying" I say frustrated.

I make eye contact with the twins and we decided to attack it at the same time, hopping to distract it while we also lure it into the perfect spot for Akari to shoot it. 

But before she could Rin spoke up in a panic "Guys there are two more headed your way look out!"

The three of us quickly retreated and regrouped just as the other two Rabits joined up with the original one we were fighting. Quickly noticing the different colours I radioed in to Rin "Rin, these ones are different colours, got any info?"

There is a brief pause before Rin replied "Sorry Captain but I've gotten nothing so far, either we're the first group to encounter them or no ones been able to report it"

Nodding my head slightly in determination I turn my head to the twins "stay on your toes the colours could mean anything" 

"Yes Captain" they reply in determination.

Looking back at the three Rabits infront of us I internally curse my side effect not being able to read Neighbours. When it comes to fights like this I feel weaker than my teammates who have much more versatile side effects. I took note that the one we first encountered is white while the other two are grey with a blue underbelly and yellow with a grey underbelly. They seemed to be waiting for us to make the first move, we were in a stand off.

"Twins take care of the white one we were first fighting" I order "I'll distract the other two until your finished"

They both turn to me in shock and through the radio I can hear both Akari and Rin gasp.

Akari is the first to respond "Captain!? No offense but you can't take them both by yourself, we don't know what kind of tricks they have!"

"For once I agree with Akari here Captain it's too risky by yourself" Rin states voice riddled with worry.

I smile "But I'm not alone I have Akari watching my back don't I?"

I can already picture Akari's face beat red as she replies hastily "T-that's right! I've got you covered so go kick some Rabit butt!"

I let out a small chuckle to myself at how flustered she gets with even a small bit of praise.

"Now then, don't keep me waiting long Hiro, Haru, I want to finish this quickly so we can help the lower ranked teams" I voice.

"Yes ma'am!" Everyone responds

Getting into a fighting stance I prepare myself to fight two new, unknown types of Rabits. I can feel my heart thumping rapidly in my chest. I might be strong but even without my side effect I know these two are stronger than me alone. It's going to be a race against time to hold out long enough for the twins to join me. 

[A/N: I suck at writting fight scenes so I apologise in advance]

It was almost as if soneone threw a coin in the air and as soon as it hit the ground we all lept towards the Rabits. Jumping to the left I narowly miss a beam that if I had been in the same spot would've been a direct hit.

'What the hell!?' I thought in shock. Barely having enough time to doge a barage of... metal?

I jump back onto the roof of a nearby house "It seems the grey/blue one fires beams of great explosive power from the eye inside its mouth and the yellow/grey one has some kind of metal controling power, relay that to the higher ups, Rin"

"Already on it Captain!" Rin replies "Oh and there's word that Kazama squad is currently engaged in battle with the white one and discovered it has an electricity type power, so be careful twins not to get caught"

"So their goal is to capture Trigger users" I commented "What a pain"

Looking to both my sides I analyse the two Rabits trying to form some sort of plan to minimise risk of being caught. I could use 'Bail out' whenever but I would prefer to leave it as a last resort. I let out a sigh and pull out my second Kogetsu, dual weilding is the only way I can properly handle this by myself. Afterall, I am just delaying time for the twins to join back up with me. 

"Captain" I hear simultaneously behind me, it's the twins.

"Ah finished already" I remark looking back at them, the both nod in response "Well you're not on my team for no reason"

Before anything else could be we all took to the air doging an attack from both the Rabits. 

"Man these guys are a real pain" I sigh "Oh well, it's time to end this game of cat and mouse"

"Captain" Akari chimes in "I have clear spot where I am to shot, just give the order"

"Just take it whenever you get the chance, if we get caught in the shot it's fine" I order.

"Yes ma'am!" She replies.

"Alright let's go!" I yell runing towards the two Rabits.

Somewhere else on the battle field: POV ??

"Whoa, Whoa, Amo! You've completely leveled the place, haven't ya?"

Amo turned around to see face the person who spoke to him "Jin"

Jin put his hand beding his head "Seriously man, hold back some won't ya?"

Letting out a sigh "Each and everyone one of them has a dull colour, they're only small fries. How can I get in the mood wiht something like this?" Amo dully replied.

Letting out a small chuckle Jin replied "I get it. Anyway, I'm glad you've got room to spare. Sorry but, take care of my area for me won't ya? It's the west of the base."

With a small almost unoticable huff "No way... Why would I?" Amo remarked turing his head away from Jin.

"Well, the enemy will start going all out anytime now and well, I guess even I'll have to get moving too, you know." Jin commented.

"You owe me one for this, Jin" Amo sighed

Jin let out a small chuckle but abruptly stopped. Amo noticing the sudden silence looked at Jin who was frozen in place, eyes wide in shock.

"What happened? Did you see something?" Amo asked.

With a strained voice Jin replied "Yeah something like that. If what I saw happens then I pray for our enemy."

With a confused face Amo looks back towards the flatened landscape "Well whatever, it's all the same to me, no matter what happens everythings just dull"

Turning around and walking away to who knows where Jin thought to himself 'Unfortunalty I wish I could agree with you, but the future I've seen is absolute, there's no way to avoid it even if I were to tell her. I just hope everything works out or Border will lose the entire (L/N) Squad.'
