"I've never been more confused in my life." I say as I close my computer.

"I'm not one to judge your sister but it's a little odd to release a statement like this. Plus months after? Is it me or is something weird." Alex says and I look at her. "Just me then?"

"No I feel like something is definitely off within this situation." I say moving my computer to the coffee table in front of us.  "Something has to be off."

"Should we be worried?"

"I don't think so, but you're definitely right. Something is totally off."

"You can always ask when we go see her next weekend." Alex says as she grabs her bag of chips.

"I don't think I should be worried, but I'll ask either way."

Me: You didn't tell me? Why? I thought we had no secrets. I'm either missing something here or something is wrong.

"You're texting her right?"

"Yes." I say. "Al I still can't believe you told your family through a text."

Tay: I had to keep this from you. For many reasons. I'll explain later. I did it to protect you.

"It's what they deserve." Alex says and I laugh. "My mom found out through my sisters, it's what she deserves."

"Alex Morgan, who would've thought she'd let her mom find out through others."

"Word got out." Alex says shrugging her shoulders. "She's not part of my life anymore, definitely not after the incident."

"I never liked your mother."

"Oh I know." Alex says nodding her head, grabbing a piece of chocolate from the table beside her.

Me: Protect me? Protect me from what? I just want to be looped in and help you AND protect YOU. I'm so confused.

"Hey so Saturday." I say turning to face Alex, setting my phone down, grabbing my computer and opening an email.

"What about Saturday?"

"You know, the plan? The whole plan I made. Al, baby don't tell me you forgot."

"No I remember I just wanted to get you worked up, you're cute when you get all worked up." Alex says with a laugh.

"Ha ha very funny." I say sarcastically. "Very funny. I hope you remember that when I get you back."

"Ooh I'm so scared." Alex says with a laugh, raising her hands up.

"I really hope our child doesn't have your sense of humor."

"And if they do? Then what babe?"

"I'm screwed." I say smiling.

"You're funny. I love you."

"Oh my god why is it so hot here." I groan as I stand up from the couch, taking my shirt off. This heat is no joke for me.

"Well hello there." Alex says with a smirk.

"Calm down."

"Can you blame me?" Alex says as she throws me a grape. "You're hot. Let me admire my hot wife."

"Al baby I'm not built for this weather. It's hot."

"Babe we have the AC on. You know what else can help? Taking off your sweats." Alex says as she throws another grape at me.

"Al."

"I meant change into shorts babe, why would you wear sweats when you know it's hot."

"They're comfy."
