Wednesdays POV

I was on my way to this school called nevermore. Apparently both my parents went there and want me to follow in their footsteps I have no interest, but they insist. So, I have no choice but to go considering I was kicked out of my other school for putting piranhas in the pool. I should've gotten the job done.

(After being in Weems office)

After the whole fiasco of nostalgia and deja vu with the principle and my parents, I had finally arrived to my new dorm. unfortunately, I have a roommate. Unneeded company. Just what I need. There was a girl at a desk wearing the Nevermore uniform, she noticed that we were in the room and started walking towards us.

"Hi roomie!!" she says with excitement, she then looks concerned once she sees my face. "Are you ok?? you look a little pale.." she says. "Wednesday always looks half dead." My parents explain, it seemed to have calmed her down, honestly, she looked better looking scared. "Oh, I'm Enid, Welcome to Ophelia Hall!" she says as she tries to hug me. I quickly back away from her, keeping my space from physical touch and the colors. "Not a hugger, got it." she puts her arms back to her side. I looked around the room and noticed the room was full of color. It disgusted me and I thought I was going to be sick, and not in a good way...

"Excuse Wednesday, she's allergic to color." My mother explains. "What happens to you?" Enid asks. "I break out into hives and my skin peels off my bones." I tell her, she looks horrified at my reply.

"Enid, I trust that you will give Wednesday a warm welcome, and a tour." Weems had told her... Then her and both my parents had left the room leaving me with an excited Enid... Great.

Wednesdays POV

Enid was now giving me a tour of this school, she opened the double doors in front of us as we entered what looks like a pentagon area. "Welcome to the quad." Enid said. "It's a pentagon." I replied as a matter of fact. "Well Nevermore has different rules than normal school does, I'll fill you in." We started walking on the sidewalk as Enid was explaining the rules and the types of monsters/outcasts there are. But I didn't pay attention to what she was saying, instead my attention was on a small black butterfly fluttering around a girl sitting far from everyone.

The butterfly soon fluttered towards me without anyone noticing. I watched its small body continue to hover around me before settling on my shoulder. Up close I could tell it's a Mourning Cloak. "Oh! You have a little friend with you!" I guess Enid had noticed the mourning cloak on my shoulder, "Actually, that butterfly looks familiar..." Enid said as she looked at the Mourning cloak closer...

"Hi, Enid." Said wolf shrieked and turned to see the mystery girl moments ago. "Oh! Hi, Y/n! Holy, you scared the wolf out of me." The now identified Y/n just barely nodded before her eyes moved to me, staring just as I stare back.

Enid stood there awkwardly before clearing her throat. "Okay. Uh, Y/n, this is my new roommate, Wednesday. Wednesday, this is Y/n. Probably the quietest girl in school" I just continue staring as the Mourning Cloak left my shoulder and to the other staring teen, fluttering around her head.

Y/n just nods almost slowly. "Right... Bye." With that, she just walked away. I've met quiet people. Most of them prefer books or lack of social skills. This one, this one is different. That interests me. "What outcast is she?" Enid almost perked that I actually asked something this whole day. Well, one of interest.

"Y/n is a swarmer. The ability to control an animal. She and a younger student are one of the few here. Well, Eugene controls Bees. She however, controls butterflies." my head tilts questionably but my express stays blank. "Why butterflies?" All Enid did was shrug.

At least I know something of her. I don't know why I'm so interested, usually I know little and call it a day to avoid them. But I want to know more about Y/n.
