Érica rolled her eyes at the irony. Her necklace, containing the powers of a rooster god, had fallen right onto a chicken monster's neck. Of course, it did. It was huge, towering over her 1.65m stature with ease, but she wasn't at all intimidated.
The deafening roar rang out once more, followed by heavy footsteps that sent cracks along the concrete, even if she couldn't see where they were coming from. If at first Érica tried not to care, she was now severely annoyed at her own powerlessness. The chicken, however, just clucked mindlessly.

As Érica tried to reach for the necklace a powerful peck forced her to dodge, the cement under the two of them cracking. She'd have to find another way to approach things. She reached for her boot and sighed with relief upon noticing there was still a knife hidden in it before-

Another roar rang out, this time joined by a weird zapping noise. That familiar sound grabbed her attention as she looked toward the skyline. As she thought, the cracklet came from a thin figure that jumped from rooftop to rooftop, engulfed in blue lightning. Érica couldn't help but smile in relief the moment she recognized him as her superhero partner, Moon Talon, who fought crime alongside her. He, if she were to be extremely honest, never put that much of a fight against the super villains that haunted their city, but he never gave up and had the brightest smile she'd ever seen, so he was more than welcome to this weird reality.

It all made much more sense now, they had probably been warped there by the same villain of the week she had witnessed, it wouldn't be the first time after all. It just meant she had to hurry if she wanted everything to go back to norma-

Érica gasped as she felt her feet leave the ground and the chicken pulled her up by her hair. It caught her off guard, but the counterattack didn't matter to her. Even if she was at risk of being eaten, nothing would stop her from defending her partner in battle.

And so, she fought. With one clean swipe of her knife, she cut herself off from the small chunk of hair in the beast's beak, dodging another peck as she landed. The chicken, getting progressively agitated, began to chase her at full speed, forcing the girl to parkour over benches and jump off the walls of a narrow alleyway to get behind it, using her knife again to slice one of its thin, rocky legs off through a week spot. The chicken statue fell to the ground, still clucking like a dumb animal as it spun round on its side, seemingly having forgotten about Érica entirely. Taking advantage of the situation, the girl retrieved her necklace. A massive flame surrounded the area and a being that only she could see emerged from it.

"You have no idea how glad I am to have you back," she sighed.
"Same here, friend!" The Lord Of The Suns (or "Mister", as they settled on after she refused to call him "Sunny") said, his multiple voices echoing through Érica's mind. "I was really worried ever since we were warped into this strange world. But now that we're together, we're unbeatable!"
"I guess so," the girl said, fixing her ponytail in a rush before reaching to her necklace. "Now, let's go."

She cranked the pendant on the necklace 180 degrees and, after being briefly covered in flames, looked almost nothing like she did before.. Her red hair had now turned a golden blonde and was hidden under a black and red helmet and her dull green eyes turned a flaming yellow with orange irises. Her now black t-shirt was covered by a red chest guard, partially veiled by a yellow scarf that hid the now golden necklace and her cargo pants matched the shirt, topped off with scarlet boots.
