(Note: this character is based on Ursula, but with different motivations and he's a separate character, all Disney villains seem to have existed in days gone by and are heralded as heroes in the school you're in....yeah not gonna deal with that).
Anyway, unlike jamil, Azul's whole thing is that he was bullied for being a chubby little mer-octopus so as vengeance he developed a signature spell that allowed him to take certain traits from those unfortunate enough to sign his scroll so that he could get back at those who bullied him. I gotta respect that.
....also his overblot form, while incredibly dangerous to his safety and everyone else, I can actually see this happening (but you can bet I'm dragging him to therapy)
Smash bc he's one of my favorite characters, I adore his characterization and he's just great
