Greeting cards have all been sent

The Yuletide rush is through

But I still have one wish to make

Lady Karissa stands outside on her balcony from Pembroke Territory where she has been Marchioness of Pembroke Territory since 2275.

Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Howard nee Lowell wasn't born into the aristocracy. She was married into when she married Lord Andrew Charles Howard, but she never forgot her first love, Roy L Mock, who died of Prostate Cancer due to the long term side effects of radiation sickness and she watched him waste  away with it.

Along time ago, Roy L Mock use to weight 200 lbs, stand 6 feet tall, and he was very good in sports, and he loves sports, until the 2270, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and the oncologist gave him a poor prognosis and in with Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell by his side he was told that it was fatal and he didn't have long time to live.

The oncologist gave six months to live, and with that in mind, Roy went into a hospice a special accommodations for the terminally ill, where he could be taken care of, as he had lost his family from radiation sickness prior to Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell lost her family to the same thing.

Roy and Karissa were planning to be married in 2274, if he had lived, but all of sudden in  February of 2270, he took a turn for the worse and he died in Karissa's arm at the hospice.

Roy L Mock had escaped the same fate that Karissa would have by being placed into the United  Federation of Planet new program fashioned after the Children's Immigration Program in England but it failed and it came to an end in 1970.
