Dad's Birthday

He jumped happily.

I'm so happy when I seen Max smiling.

I ran towards kitchen when I seen busy in kitchen.

" Mom, how did I get home yesterday ? "

That's when I seen mom stopped chopping the vegetables.

" How many times I told you to stop drinking at late nights ? " Mom yelled in anger.

" I'm... Sorry mom. It's... " I tried to explain.

" Glad that Charlie....  " Mom stopped.

" Charlie ? Who is this Charlie ? "

Mom ignored me and about to leave i hold her hand.

" Mom, I need my answer "

I seen dad walked into the kitchen. They looked at eachother.

" Elena, you want to know the answer ? " Dad asked.

I gave a quick nod.

" Your soulmate "

I got confused. Soulmate ?

" What ? "

" Yes, Last night your boyfriend dropped you and we named him Charlie "

What dad is trying to say ?

" What are you saying dad ? I didn't got you "

Mom and dad laughed.

Dad walked to me and gave me a hug.

" We are kidding my child "

Kidding ? I thought it's something else.

I let out a breath.

" You came alone in taxi and we brought you inside the house. How can you get drunk so much ? " Mom said a little angrily.

" Oh !!! Come on. It's my daughter she can take care of herself " Dad said protecting me from mom. I smiled and hid behind dad.

" You two will never change "

Mom walked out of the kitchen while me and dad chuckled.

" Happy birthday Dad " I hugged him tightly.

" Thank you my daughter "

Finally the party is done.

The house was decorated with flowers, ballons and rooms are filled with gift boxes and cakes.

I pulled my hair into a messy bun.

Dad and mom left to visit friends house it's time to clean where I seen Max who is busy in playing with his toys.

I started to clean up the house.

Started with kitchen.

After an hour of cleaning I felt tired and got seated beside Max who is now past asleep i gave a peak on his forehead and smiled. He is cute when he is asleep.

I heard calling bell. It's must be mom and dad.

I opened the door. Suddenly I seen mom and dad rushed into the house and quickly locked the door.

" Elena, let's pack our things we are leaving the town " Dad in worried and they started to pack the things.

I walked behind them.
