The next morning, Draco got up and got ready for class, heading to Potions.

"Good morning, everyone," greeted Slughorn.

Draco took a seat next to Pansy and Blaise.

"Do you know what we're doing today?" Draco asked Pansy.

"No," replied Pansy.

"So, how was detention yesterday?" Blaise inquired.

"Not bad, but we didn't talk much," Draco answered.

"Alright, guys, today we are going to be writing a paper about potions," said Slughorn as he handed out papers.

Everyone worked on the paperwork, and after they were finished, they went to their next class. Draco went to Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA).

In DADA class:

"Today, we are going to practice the spells that we wrote down yesterday," announced Josie.

"Find a partner for practice," Josie instructed.

Draco and Blaise partnered up, as did Harry and Ron.

"Go easy on me, please," Blaise requested, looking at Draco as he grabbed his wand.

"Alright," Draco agreed as he also took his wand.

They practiced several spells.

With Harry and Ron:

"How was detention with Malfoy?" Ron asked as he cast a spell.

"Not bad, we didn't talk that much, but it was okay," Harry responded while defending against Ron's spell.

"Do you have detention again today?" Ron inquired as he continued casting spells.

"Yeah, I got it for two months for being out of bed," Harry explained, casting another spell.

"Okay," Ron acknowledged as he blocked the spell.

"Alright, everyone, we're done here. You can leave now," Josie announced.

Everyone left for their next class, and later, they went to lunch.

With Draco:

Draco sat next to Belle, who was crying.

"What's wrong?" Draco asked with a worried expression.

"Someone called me a Mud-born," Belle replied, tears running down her face.

"Who did?" Draco asked, concerned.

"A boy in the fourth year," Belle answered.

"Don't listen to him. You are amazing just the way you are," Draco comforted Belle.

"Okay, thank you, Draco," Belle said, wiping away her tears.

"Do you want a hug?" Draco offered.

"Yes," Belle replied, looking up at Draco.

"Come here," Draco said.

Draco and Belle hugged for a while.

With Harry:

Hermione pointed towards the Slytherin table, where Draco and Belle were.

"Is that Malfoy hugging that girl?" Ron asked, surprised by what he was seeing.

"Yes," Harry replied, watching Draco closely.

"Can you ask him when you go to detention?" Ron requested while taking a bite of his food.

"Sure, but it doesn't mean I'll get an answer from Malfoy," Harry said.

"Okay, thanks, Harry," Ron said.

"No problem," Harry replied.

"Let us know when you get back from detention," Hermione added.

Back with Draco and Belle:

After a few minutes, they stopped hugging.

"Thank you so much, Draco. That made my day better," Belle said.

"You're welcome," Draco responded.

After lunch, everybody attended their next classes, followed by dinner.

With Harry:

"So, when do you have detention?" Hermione asked.

"After dinner," Harry replied.

"Okay," Hermione said, taking a bite of her food.

With Draco:

"Has anyone else called you a Muggle-born?" Draco asked as he sat next to Belle.

"No," Belle replied as she ate her food.

"Okay," Draco said.

After dinner, it was time for detention.

At detention:

"Alright, Malfoy and Potter, you'll be doing your detention. I'll be back at 10 o'clock to let you go," Filch stated.

"Okay," Harry acknowledged.

After Filch left, there was silence for a few minutes, and then:

"Why were you hugging Belle today at lunch?" Harry asked Draco.

"Because someone called her a Mud-born," Draco explained.

"Oh, is she a Muggle-born?" Harry asked.

"Yes, so what?" Draco responded.

"Nothing's wrong with that. I just thought you didn't want to be friends with a Muggle-born," Harry explained.

"Well, you thought wrong, Potter. See, you don't know everything," Draco retorted.

"Sorry, it's just because you called Hermione a Mud-born in second year," Harry said.

"Yeah, well, people change, Potter," Draco stated.

"Okay," Harry agreed.

After detention ended quickly, Harry returned to the Gryffindor common room.

In the Gryffindor common room:

"So, what did Malfoy say about it?" Ron asked.

"He said it was because someone called her a Mud-born," Harry shared.

"Oh my God, that's so mean. Do you know who did it?" Hermione asked.

"No, he didn't say," Harry replied.

"How do we know he didn't say it Ron asked.

"Because she's like a little sister to him," Harry explained.

"So?" Ron questioned.

"So, he wouldn't call her a Mud-born," Harry pointed out.

"But what if he did?" Ron persisted.

"You don't know, Ron. Just drop it," Hermione advised.

"I'm tired. I'm going to bed," Harry said as he walked away to his bedroom.

"Good night, Harry," Hermione and Ron said simultaneously.
