Chapter 2

No pov

When you came out of the bathroom Hajime came up and ruffled your hair. Something he always did that you loved.

The nerves began to weigh on you as Hajime led you to the couch.

He wanted you to rest since you were sick this morning, and you were starting to feel queasy again.

"Sweetheart could you make the lemon ginger tea please..."

Looking at you worryingly, he nodded and got up to go to the kitchen.

While he made the tea, you tried to calm yourself down, you really hated throwing up, and your nerves didnt help.

While Hajime was in the kitchen you sneaked into the hallway and called the doctor to set an appointment.

You set it up for later today at 2:30pm, right now it was only 10:48am. You hoped the baby would be healthy, but you also hoped Hajime would be happy.

The two of you hadn't talked about it that much so you were kinda unsure.

The day seemed to pass by slower then usual. You ended up getting sick again after setting the appointment.

But after Hajime brought you the tea it definitely helped calm your stomach.

You decided you would talk to Hajime after dinner, if the baby was healthy. It finally hit 1:50, which was when you needed to leave for the hospital.

Hajime already agreed to drive you and as far as he knows your only going for a checkup for your nausea.

Not for possible pregnancy.

He led Y/n to the car and closed her door for her. He started the ignition, and drove off when the car was idled down.

They got to the hospital early like planned, and Y/n told Hajime to go back home and that she would text him when she is ready to go.

He tried to argue but soon gave in, dropping her off at the front and driving back home.

You walked in to the hospital and went to the reception desk to check in. Figuring maybe the doctor would take you early.

Sitting in the waiting room until 2:19 you heard your name called; "Ms. Iwaizumi?"

"Ah thats me." Getting up and walking over the nurse greeted you and led you to a room.

The room had soft violet colored walls, a white and pink tiled floor, a sink and cabinets, and a table/bed.

"The doctor will be with you in a moment Ms. Iwaizumi."

"Alright thank you." You thanked the nurse as she walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.

This gave you even more time to think.

Y/n put her hand on her stomach.

Theres an actual baby inside me... A human being... A child, my child and Hajime's.

She rubbed her stomach until there was a knock. "Come in.!" You called out.

A female doctor with hazel eyes and long burgundy hair walked in with a machine and greeted you.

"Hello Mrs. Iwaizumi, I am Dr. Hayuka. You wanted to check if you were pregnant yes?"

Y/n nodded slowly. Still a bit nervous about it.

"Alright, I'll set up the ultrasound machine, then ill need you to lift your shirt below your chest so I can out the gel on you to see if a baby is there."

"Alright" you complied and lifted your shirt up, waiting for her to set up the machine.

When she finished doing so she rubbed a cold substance on your stomach and grabbed a wand.

Gliding it against your skin she looked at the screen that was with the machine.

After a moment a little blob appeared on the screen.

You gasped in realization of what it meant. The tests were correct. You were pregnant.

Dr. Hayuka spoke; "congratulations Ms. Iwaizumi, you are pregnant! And it seems like you are about 3 weeks along. Thats where the nausea you told me about came from. Thats perfectly normal though and your baby is completely healthy. Youll be able to see the heartbeat within a month so I'll call you sometime tomorrow about setting up check-in's."

"I see, thank you so much doctor." You thanked her.

"Ill get your papers and prescribe you some medicine to help a bit with the nausea, and continue drinking lemon-ginger tea. Also would you like a picture of the ultrasound?"

Thinking for a moment you replied with a 'Yes.'

Y/n filled out the short amount of papers and was given a picture of the ultrasound. Before filling out the papers she texted Hajime, knowing it would take him a while to arrive.

She handed the papers back to Dr.Hayuka and walked out to the waiting room. She hid the picture in her purse and got a text that Hajime had arrived.

Walking out she saw the car and walked over to the passenger seat.

"So did you figure out why your sick baby?"

Y/n froze for a moment. Deciding to say;

"Ill explain after dinner love." She replied nervously.

Hajime raised a brow and replied with a weary 'ok.'

The drive home was silent and comfortable on the outside, but in both of your minds were tornado's of thoughts and emotions.

By the time you got home it was 3:36pm, and you got very exhausted from your nerves and the check-up. Plus waking up early lately because of stupid nausea.

Hajime got his keys out and opened the door to your shared home letting you go in first.

"Hajimeeee can we take a nap then have takeouuuut." You whined as you took your shoes off.

"Sure babe, we can. But when are you gonna tell me why your sick?"

You faltered for a second, knowing he was going to ask.

"Ill tell you after dinner Sweetheart." You replied as you dragged him to the bedroom. He laughed at your excitement to sleep, taking his shirt and pants off to sleep in his boxers.

Whereas you just wore shorts and a sports bra. You were about to jump into the bed but you remembered the growing child inside you.

Oh shit right, dont flop onto the bed

Slowly getting into the bed with Hajime he wrapped his arms around you. Leaving you both in a soft spooning position to sleep.

Kissing your head he spoke softly;

"Have a good nap Baby. I love you."

"I love you too Haji."

Slowly falling asleep your last thought was telling Hajime about what he was going to hopefully become.

A father.
