Chapter 9 - Will he make it ?
During the next week, Spencer received a text message from the dolphins head coach. The message said, Hi Mr.Spencer we saw your High school Replays and clips. You are talented kid and we want you to tryout for our team. As soon as Spencer received that message he responded by saying , " Hello yes sir I try to play really hard when I get on that football field, But yes I would love to participate in tryouts do you know an date ?
The man said yes sir the date will start next week.
Spencer said okay just email me all the information, Thank you.
Spencer then told his Dad about the awesome news that he just received. Everyone was so proud of him.But Jordan had a little jealousy inside of his heart. Jordan then said well I play a little better than you so I really do not know why they never email me. Spencer chuckled and said c'mon man really you are supposed to be proud of me. Jordan then said I am proud of you but I just dont see how you are the only one getting all of these emails and people keep reaching out to you.
Spencer then shrugged his shoulders and said man I dont know but you do know that I can help you get in the NFL whenever I become an NFL player.
Jordan then said Yea I know.
Grace and James then went to take Spencer and the family out to dinner.
During dinner Grace and James had announced that they had an surprise for Spencer. After dinner they all walked outside and put the blindfold over Spencer. It was a Black Mercedez Benz GT class with rims on it.
Jordan then began to scream WHAT NO WAYYY, He gets this but im stuck with that stupid little trash. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS HAVE FAVORTISM.
Grace then tried to calm Jordan down, But Jordan was upset.
James then jacked Jordan up and said " Boy if you do not lower your tone and wait your time i'm going to show you something right now at this moment."
Jordan then kept quiet the whole ride back home in Spencers new car.
Spencer then turned the music on and he was having some fun in his new car.
James and Grace was very happy to see Spencers reaction of him getting his first car.
Well it was the next week already " The man emailed Spencer where to meet him at. Spencer pulled up to the tryouts session , When Spencer got out of the car the coaches were greeting Spencer in and Spencer was very welcomed.
Later that day They had to do situps, They did running drills, Juke moves, and all.
Spencer was tired and never ever in his life did so many drills in one day. They had to run around the whole football field 20 times and all.
When Spencer got home he ate, Took an shower , and went to sleep cause he had to get up early the next day at 6 am and start tryout sessions again. If Spencer wanted to be in the NFL like he say he does then he would have to get used to it because the coaches is all about work work work to make their team.
The next day it was an big fight between to coaches and Spencer and somebody else broke the fight up. The coaches did not need to be fighting they need to set a good role for their team players. Spencer was very shocked and suprised that the coaches got to fighting. But after the fight they both shook hands and began to say that they were sorry to each other.
After they apologized the two coaches got back in a good mood and started giving orders to the players. They both made the team do push-ups and all. That was the last day for tryouts and Spencer made the cuts. It was the last day for tryouts tomorrow they will have to go super super hard if they want to make the team.
Spencer went there the next day prepared for everything that they called and everything. Spencer was one of the best ones there so the coaches have already been taking about picking him but Spencer did not know that.
After cuts they all had to write down there adress so the Coaches can send there papers inside the mail. It tooked at least three months for the coaches to send the results back. Spencer was very nervous. Spencer told James and the rest of his family that he do not think that he made it. Grace kept on telling him to have faith inside himself. James kept asking why do you think a kid like you would not get recruited in the NFL. Everyone was telling him that he was too talented so he may make it. On Jordans hand he have been praying and trying his best not to get Spencer to get recruited on the field. Jordan have been calling around trying to set Spencer up and telling people to try to fight him so the coaches will see it and when the coaches see it they would say he does not have any self control.
Spencer found out because Ashton ended up hearing the good news and started to promote him and Ashton heard Jordan saying that he is going to set him up. Ashton then began to tell Spencer to watch out and do not get to close with Jordan. He also told Spencer what Jordan was trying to do. When Spencer found out Spencer just played dumb and acted like he did not hear anything about the things Jordan were trying to do. Spencer was playing smart and staying away from Jordan as much as he can. Jordan asked Spencer why was he acting weird. Spencer did not respond,Spencer chuckled and walked away.
