It always starts with "once upon a time, in a magical place far, far away..." Doesn't it? There's always the handsome hero, fighting against the forces of evil who then gloriously triumphs at the end of the story, not only saving the day and vanquishing the bad guys but winning the heart and hand of a beautiful princess.
Isn't that how the tale goes? Well screw that.
You want a story? I'll give you a story. But forget all that Hollywood-syrupy-joyous mess. There's no handsome hero, no daunting feats of bravery, no gorgeous princess.
There is, however, evil. And (grudgingly, I'll admit the stereotypical story introduction had it's perks), this story starts in a mysterious land, far far - you get the gist.
Anyways, once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl...
