"Hey bitch." Ingrid said greeting me, with the most polite way she could thing of.

"Hey Ingrid."

"Why are you dressed so fancy, what's the occasion?" She paused ,and looked at me funny. Like something was difference about me, something off. "you're hair, it's normal."

"I wouldn't call it normal, but it is rather soothing."

"So, is this sudden change all for Oliver."

"I don't know, it didn't seem to affect him."

"What happen to you, what happen to the tough girl I knew. The one that doesn't care about her looks and speculation of others."

"Ingrid, I'm not going to Change myself for Oliver. Its still me Ingrid, you act like I'm suddenly Stephanie."

"Well I'm not sure maple, or are you going to change your name too."

"What are you trying to say."

"You're not acting like your self, I miss your blue hair, why did you have to change?"

"I'm not, ge'ez." I said a bit annoyed

"Do you think he's going to suddenly bust into the front door. While you jump into his arms,and you guys run into the sunset. All because you changed your color hair, and smacked some makeup on."

"That sounds about right."

"Maple let me tell you something. Fairytales and happy endings happen, but they don't come in out of the blue. You have to make them happen, in order to feel happy."

"I'm not comprehending."

"Ugh, you idiot I'm talking about you. Let Oliver know you love him, what's stopping you?"

"Stephanie....." I said a bit sad, I didn't want to admit it. But it was true, she was the wall that separates me and Oliver.

"That bitch is legless."

"And yet Ingrid, she can conquer the whole world."

"With out legs maple, no legs, like there made of silicone."

"I'm not going to argue about, my love life anymore okay."

The whole day I was annoyed by everything, and everyone. It didn't make any sense, but to me it felt like everyone was against me today.

"Hey.... you."

"WHATT NOW ." I turned to a pale green eye monster, and I'm not talking about jealousy.

"Oh...... hi Oliver."

"You dropped your text book in the hall, just thought I'd bring it to you."

"Well,uh that was very thoughtful of you."

"It wasn't any big deal."

To him it wasn't, but my heart was beating faster and faster at the moment. Mother always said that, the other next big thing besides God. Is your heart beat, she thought that your heart beats were the true meaning of love. The faster it beat next to the one you care about, was like some sorts of signal. I'd always respond with some cocky ass answer like " its not a telephone mom.", but deep down I knew what she meant.

"So are you going to take it."

"Oh ......yeah, thanks a million."

"Yeah, it wasn't a problem, but since I'm here you never answer my question."

"What question."

"Yeah maple play dumb." he whispered in my eye ear.

"Aren't you with Stephanie?" I said while I crossed my my arms.

"Hmmm I seem to forget about her, when I see you."

"Well I don't, she is walking down the hall right now." Pointing at the direction of the Hitler wannabe

"Is she?" He said not braking eye contact, damn those green eyes were a real killer.

I was just hoping, Stephanie would snap me out of my fairy tale. But she never came ,instead she made a short cut to the boys bathroom. It was like her ,and Oliver never even knew each other.

"Am I missing something?"

"Only the fact that I'm going to be taking you to dinner Friday."

"What..... I never agreed to anything."

"You didn't have to, you eyes say it all, I'm just really good at hunches."

"My eyes?" When ever I look at my eyes, the remind me of shit. There so brown, he couldn't possibly find any of that romantic.

"They somehow, never broke contact of mine." He smirked.

I thought that he was doing that, mhmm I guess I was wrong.

"So you'll pick me up at 8:30, I presume Falls."

"Then it's a date,maple."

"Yeah a date." I said as I walked off, I giggled a bit knowing that I was doing something right for a change. I guess a change, was a good thing.

I'm finally winning.
