XXIX: The Operation

BASED ON A TRUE STORY



Kristian's P.O.V. 
Y/N and I are still here at Korea, it's been a week since umalis kami sa Pilipinas, but today is the day... mag-oopera na si Dad sa kanyang backbone na kung saan ay tatanggalin nila yung laman loob sa gitna ng backbone nya

I am pretty nervous right now, sana success yung operation nya... 

But suddenly, nakita ako ni Y/N sitting the side of the bed, my hands rubbing, my feets tapping on the floor;

"Love? Are you okay? You seem nervous na." She said 

"Yeah, I am pretty nervous na. What if hindi success yung-" 

She cut me by kissing me on our lips as she cups her hands on my face;

"Tsk, Love, wag ka masabi ng ganyan please? Wag ka mago-overthink about your father's operation, alright?" She said while rubbing my cheek using her thumb 

I nod at her words as she still stares at me; 

"Ano sinabi ko sayo bago tayo umalis ng Pilipinas? Di ba mag-dasal, magpakatatag at laban lang? Oh, Love, you should do the 3 words of what I said to you ok? I am always here with you." She smiles 

I nodded and smiled at her as I kissed her forehead 

"Okay Love, I understand. Thank you for being here with me, I love you so much Y/N..." I said kissing her hand 

"Awweee, I love you too my boo" She hugged me. 

But if I am being honest, ayaw ko talaga pumunta sa hospital, even my family they don't like hospitals though, si Y/N hindi kasi kaka-graduate nya ng college as a nursing student for 4 years. 

I am so proud of her, she is my nurse :) 

My family told me to video call with us bago mag-simula yung operation ni Dad, because nag-plano sila Mom at mga kapatid ko about that 

But since may sakit sa backbone si Dad, kailangan talaga namin pumunta sa hospital to recover him but not too fast. 

And today, it's 11:27 pm in Korea while sa Pilipinas is 10:27 pm. As of now, nagvivideo call na kami ng pamilya ko tonight on Messenger tomorrow na lang daw yung zoom. 

In actuality, we are all nervous about that right now, but gaya nga sinabi ni Y/N. Mag-pray, magpakatatag at mag-laban lang! 

Sinabi ko yung line ni Y/N sa family and thanked God they understand that. 

5 minutes later tapos na kami mag-usap, and by the way, 10:15 pm kami nagstart ng video call thru messenger though 

We are now about to sleep but suddenly, Y/N holds my arm about to lay my bed; 

"Love, may nakalimutan ka ba?" She ask 

"No, I guess?" 

"Mag-dasal muna tayo before we're going to bed, right?" 

I nod as we start to pray for my father's operation 

A few minutes later, tapos na kami mag-dasal, so matutulog na kami.c


*THE NEXT DAY*

It's 7:12 am here in Korea, kakatapos lang namin mag-almusal ni Y/N but suddenly my phone was ringing, means someone is calling 

Y/N picked up the call she answer the call, and it was my father; 

"Hello po Tito?" She said thru the phone call 

"Hello Iha? Pwede punta kayo ni KC sa hospital bago mag-start ng operation?" He ask 

"Ah, sure po Tito, papunta na po kami" She said 

"Sige Iha, ingat kayo."  He said as he end the call 

"Ano sabi ni Dad?" I ask her 

"Sabi nya, kailangan daw natin punta sa hospital before the operation starts" 

I nod as we changed our clothes to go to the hospital. 

Paalis na kami sa bahay as we to go the hospital, nasa kalsada kami naglalakad and the street was so beautiful but mas maganda kapag gabi. 

Kasi may mga pailaw-ilaw yung mga buildings nila doon. 

10 minutes later, nasa hospital na kami and we are looking for my father we saw him with our Korean assistant that who can understand English 

Pero nagko-korean language naman sya , buti naintindihan nya yung English or else patay tayo dyan. Hahaha 

"Hi dad, kamusta na kayo?" I ask him 

"Ok lang naman ako anak, kinakabahan ako pero ready naman ako" Sabi ni Dad 

Lumuhod si Y/N as she start to talk my father; 

"Tito, always remember, kung ano man po nangyari sainyo, andidito po kami ni Kristian pati yung family ko po, prayers po sainyo. Di ka po pababayaan ng Panginoon palagi, mahal ka po namin Tito as always"

She smiles as my father smiles at her, and I appreciated her words to him 

Gusto talaga ni Y/N maging seminarista sa mga simbahan, that's her dream job but her job is nurse but not sure if pwede sumabay 

Nag-usap kami ni Dad for the last time before they go to the operation room 

30 minutes later, tapos na kami mag-usap nagbigay muna si Y/N ng kaunting prayers for him and magpapakatatag na kami lahat para kay Dad. 


*ANOTHER NEXT DAY*

It's 6 pm here in Korea while in the Philippines it's 5 pm, So my family starts the video call 2 minutes ago, nag-uusap kami about the hospital bills, the operation and the message for my father before his operation starts.

"Dad, kung ano man nangyari gusto namin sabihin sayo, andito rin kami ni Mom, Ate at Kuya at yung mga relatives natin dyan, at tsaka mga chikoys ko, humihingi sila ng dasal para sayo, mahal ka namin dad, laban lang as always"

I said and I almost cry at these words. Lol

Now, it's Y/N turn to speak for Dad;

"Hi po Tito, gaya nga ng sinabi ni Kristian sainyo, andito lang po kami palagi, palagi po kami dadasal sainyo sana success na yung operation nyo po, best of luck tito!! We love you po!!" 

Na-touch ni Dad yung mga messages namin, as I forced everyone to pray before his operation starts 

Ang last words ni Dad before the operation is "Panginoon, wag nyo po ako pababayaan" 

10 minutes later, tapos na kami mag-usap ng family ko and it's time... mago-opera na si Dad sa kanyang backbone 

Sana magiging success na, manifesting po, alam yan ng Diyos na di nya pababayaan si Dad. 

For your information, banal po ako alright? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway, Y/N was comforting me right now and as you can see, kinakabahan pa rin ako for that; 

"Love, don't be nervous, di ba ang sabi natin di nya pababayaan ang panginoon natin right?" She said 

"Yeah...." I said in a nervous tone 

"Oh.... magpakatatag tayo sa kanya alright? I love you Kristian" She said kissing my hand 

"I love you too Y/N" I said as I hugged her 


*ANOTHER NEXT DAY (AGAIN)*


It's afternoon here in Korea, and the good news is success na yung operation nya!!! 

Salamat sa Diyos!! Survived na si Dad sa operation nya! 

Alam na din yung family ko especially Y/N! So we decided to check my father kung okay yung feeling nya. Hehehe 

15 minutes later, nasa hospital na kami and nakikita ko si Dad nakahiga sa kama 

"Hi Dad! Kumusta? :3" I ask him 

"Okay naman na ako anak, medyo di ako makagalaw ng maayos pagkatapos ng operation" He whispered 

I nod and smile widely, I congratulated him on the success of his operation 

"Hi po Tito! Congratulations dahil success na po yung operation, di ba ang sabi ko po sainyo di ka talaga pababayaan ng Panginoon" She chuckled 

"Oo naman iha, tama ka, di talaga ako pababayaan ng Diyos" He said 

Kinausap pa namin yung doctor nya about his following check up and many more 

But, I would like to thank the Korean Doctors for making my father okay, and thank you for this hospital so much, I am appreciated it talaga! 

For now, makakalakad ka na ng maayos dad :DD

Hoyyy!! It's been a while since nag-update ako! Jusmiyo pasensya na po talaga dahil napaka-daming school activities gagawin namin jusmiyo, but gaya nga ng promise ko sainyo, pag nastart na yung school vacation mag-uupload ako ng mga chapters in 1 to 2 days.
