I kept on changing the channel on the TV nothing good playing and sitting in my hospital bed all the time is really starting to piss me off

I turned and saw the last person I wanted to see here and sighed might as well talk to her seeing as I'm not going anywhere soon

Amy: I hope it's OK, me just showing up like this. How are you? I mean... Sorry, I... It's a stupid question.

I cracked a smile hearing her stammer

Jack: It's OK. I have a surgery on Friday. Some doctor from outer state who supposedly works miracles.

Amy: That's great, right?

Jack: I'm not getting my hopes up. The surgery cost's a ton. My mom's gonna be in debt. And there's no guarantee it'll work, but...

Amy: I think if anyone can beat the odds, it's you.

Jack: *Chuckles* Not this time though.

I looked at the scar on her arm

Jack: Is that from Tory?

Amy: *Looks at her arm* Oh, uh... Yeah. It's really not that bad.

Jack: Yeah.

Amy: Kinda makes me look tough

Jack: You were already tough, Ames. But I'm sorry about that.

Amy: You didn't do anything. She's the one that decided to go crazy.

I gestured to her scar and then to my legs and she instantly went quiet, and I sighed

Amy: I just wanted to give you this. It's just a card.

I chuckled at the picture on the front of the card seeing it was of two wolves and a memory of our date at Golf N Stuff played out in my head

She was about to cry, and which was annoying considering this is her fault
