From: Son
I'm at the parking lot, Mama. Should I wait for you here or I'll go up?
She looked at the mirror and checked if her makeup was messed up, but it looked fine. She wanted to put her once-signature hearts blush on, but she decided not to. Being in Los Santos made her miss the hearts she usually put on her face every morning, but a lot has changed, she has changed.
She quickly typed a reply to him and told him to wait for her at the parking lot, to which he replied with a short, 'okay.'
"This is ridiculous, Ramee! Why are you spying on your son?" Randy whispered as the both of them hid in Ramee's car at The Mond's parking lot.
After Ramee and Bleach successfully robbed the bank, and his son told him that he had to go somewhere, the paranoid father called up his best friend to spy with him on the young bank buster.
"Something is up, Randy. If he's gonna get in trouble, I want to know so I can stop it," Ramee whispered back to his best friend who was so done with him but supported him anyway.
"What if it's just a girl? We'd look ridiculous spying on your son's love life," Randy continued to argue. "What if they kiss, bruh? That would be weird seeing my nephew being lovey-dovey and shit with a girl."
"Shut up, Randy. If it's a girl, then we'll leave, we won't witness them fucking," Ramee insisted and stopped himself from saying something more when a woman stepped out of the parking lot elevator.
The two couldn't see clearly who it was because the parking lot wasn't lit enough. All they saw was the red hair. The woman was walking towards Bleach's car and got into it as soon as she reached it.
"See? It's just a girl," Randy said and paused, contemplating whether to say what he was thinking.
"Say it, I know what you're thinking, idiot," Ramee said, sitting back in the driver's seat when the other car drove out of the parking lot.
Randy did the same, and blurted out what was on his mind, "It's just weird dating someone who kinda looked like his mother."
Ramee thought he wouldn't feel anything when his best friend mentioned his son's mother, but he was wrong. She still had a hold on him, she still had a special place in the warlord's heart.
"Let's go," he said before stepping on the gas, not wanting to talk more about it.
Randy delivered the news to everyone when they arrived at Little Seoul, and they loved the new gossip, especially Taco and Curtis. Ramee wasn't in the mood to talk about it so he went straight to his apartment.
"No way, that's kinda weird but hot," Curtis commented. He earned a slap from Penny because of that, to which he whined.
"Three years and the kid already has mommy issues," Taco jokingly said, but added, "I miss April."
Autumn frowned, "She didn't even reply to my email about being my maid of honor."
Garrett caressed her back. "It's okay, Autumn. The other CG girls would be willing to be your maid of honor."
"Nah, we'll wait for April. Maybe she'll magically appear during your wedding, there's no way she won't be here," Ray said positively which made Autumn and Penny nod in agreement.
The boys just looked at each other and sighed. They all lost hope in April going back to Los Santos. Acceptance was hard for them, but they tried to.
When everyone went back to what they were doing, Ray went back to Vinny's apartment to clean her swords, her phone started to vibrate from her pockets. She paused from cleaning her katana and pulled out her phone. Her eyes widened in shock when she saw the name that flashed on the screen of her phone. It has been three years since she saw that name on her phone.
"April?" she asked stuttering, when she pressed the answer button, silently praying to whoever was listening that she'll hear her gorl's voice.
"Hey, Ray, it's April," the voice from the other line responded.
Ray couldn't stop herself from tearing up, she couldn't believe what she was hearing, but she also wanted all of it to be true.
"April!" she exclaimed while sobbing. "Is this really you?"
"Yes, gorl, it's me," the redhead replied, who was also tearing up hearing the brunette after three years. "I got Autumn's email, she said she needed a maid of honor so I'm here."
"What? You're here? In Los Santos?"
"Yup! I'm staying at The Mond. I'm so proud of you, gorl," April answered honestly. "Let's meet there in about an hour. I'm staying at the penthouse. Bring the girls, let's have an impromptu girls' night."
"Yes! We will be there," Ray exclaimed, wiping away her tears, finally realizing that everything that happened was real and she was not dreaming.
"But don't tell them or anyone else. It's a surprise, and I wanna see you girls first," her best friend responded then added, "A girls' night would be the best way to catch up."
"I got you, the girls will be there. I also have to tell you something about your son," Ray said while she was starting to put away her swords.
"I think I know what you mean," April chuckled before saying goodbye and hanging up the call.
