She took out her phone and dialed her son's number, letting him know that she already arrived.
"Hi, Mama! Are you here?" The young man mused.
She chuckled hearing the excitement in his voice. "Yes, Bleachy. I'm already at The Mond, and I saw what you did."
"Did you like it, Mama? I saw that picture in Auntie Ray's house, so I stole it to make you smile when you arrive." April's heart melted at what her son said. She smiled, knowing that her son thought of what would make her happy.
"I like it so much. Thanks, Bleachy," she said while smiling to herself then asked, "Anyway, are you gonna join me for dinner?"
"I will, Mama. I'm just doing something with Dad in a bit then I'll go straight to you after," her son replied.
"I'll wait for you, you have to show me around the city, it felt like forever," she responded, completely ignoring what her son just said.
"Okay, Mama! I'll see you soon!" the young man said before hanging up the call, just in time for his father to open the door to his house.
"Who were you on a call with? And you'll see them soon?" Ramee asked his son who was smiling from ear to ear after hanging up the phone. He raised an eyebrow at him, trying to squeeze an answer from him. He has been worried about Lil Bleach, the young man had recently been in and out of the city, and told him nothing about it.
"Just someone, Dad," Lil Bleach responded and hugged his father before walking past him, trying to keep the excitement to himself about his mother being in the city.
Ramee patted his son's shoulder. "If it's a girl, you can tell me, your old man knows everything about girls," he told him, proudly.
Bleach scoffed and chuckled at what his father said. "Everyone knows you don't have game, Dad. You still aren't married after having many women in your life."
The vulture hit his son's head jokingly and laughed. They went out of Bleach's house and got into his car.
Being the owner of multiple successful businesses, Ramee hadn't had a lot of time doing criminal activities, so the father and son duo planned to do a bank job every week together.
While on the road to get a laptop for the bank robbery, Bleach texted his mother to update her on what he was doing.
To: Mama April
Will be doing a bank with Dad. I'll call you in about an hour, Mama. Rest up, and I'll bring you to a nice restaurant later, you'll love it.
"Who are you texting now?" Ramee asked his son while keeping his eyes on the road. "I told you, if it's a girl, you can tell me."
"You're being too nosy, Dad," Bleach said, ignoring the vulture's question.
"You can't blame me, you've been going out of the city for the past three months, without even telling me. I can't help but think that something is going on with you," Ramee honestly said and continued, "I'm just worried. And if it's someone special, you know I'll support you."
Bleach smiled. The man wasn't always affectionate, but he knew his father cared for him. The truth was, for the past three months, he had been visiting his mother whenever he got the chance. April didn't tell him where she was until then, so Bleach had spent all his free time in Liberty City.
"It is someone special, Dad. You'll know soon," he responded, which made his father sigh and felt better knowing that his son wasn't getting in trouble, but he still had doubts.
April stopped in her tracks when she saw her phone lit up. She has been pacing back and forth for ten minutes, thinking about how she will face her family. Lil Bleach's name appeared on the screen of her phone with his message.
