You quickly snapped your eyes down to your countertop, forcing that thought to die as well as your endless crimson blush. A chuckle made you glance up to see that the orange simian had turned his body away enough for you to not see his face but enough to see the orange fluffy tail wagging to the sides dreamily. You puffed out your cheeks at his cheekiness, this monkey man.....
Monkey King clapped his hand against his student's back and with a smile that made your heart flutter inside your chest, gestured towards the computer, "Well bud, concentrate on the computer and focus."
MK responded, echoing his mentor's words with a serious tone and a firm nod, "Focus, got it."
MK's face scrunched in concentration as he closed his eyes tightly all within an inhale, all the tension escaped his face as he exhaled. With a resounding gong that thrummed in your head, you watched with an open mouth as MK opened his eyes revealing what was once hazel eyes, were now a shining gold.
Glancing to the side, you watched as Monkey King's own face reveal his emotions. He was beaming like a beacon with pure upmost pride at his student's accomplishment. His smile was not even forced as his tail wagged even faster side to side. You had to withhold a giggle as you watch this simian act like a father to a young adult, who seemed almost completely oblivious to his mentor's fatherly actions.
"Well, what do you see bud?" Monkey King's question voiced both his fatherly pride and the guidance of a mentor.
You turned towards the cupboard under the counter, bending down to open it up as you contained to hear the boy humming, probably throughly scanning with the golden magic eyes. You quickly found what you were looking for and grabbed a familiar can you placed there for intruders. Your parents wished for you to buy something to defend yourself in the city, and since they already bought a metal bat that you kept by your bed, you decided to have a much more sillier approach to it.
You popped back up, holding the can in your hands as you listened to MK answer with complete honesty to his mentor's question, "I don't see any demons."
With a blink, MK's golden eyes turned back to his normal hazel expression making you sigh with relief at the response. Glaring at your computer, you opened your mouth to ask something only for it to be silence by the soft ding of something hitting the metal. You watched as Monkey King's expressions changed from confusion to concentration, to satisfaction in a matter of minutes.
Golden eyes turned to face his student as he remarked, "Me neither bud, nor did I sense any demons."
"Good job though, kiddo," Monkey King chuckled as he ruffled the kid's hair, making it messy much to the chagrin of the young adult.
A grin crossed his features as he threw his head back to look at you, as he remarked, "But who ever built this computer knew what they were doing, the computer has a protective metal shield around it to protect it from....."
His grin slipped away as you realized you were still holding the can, you laughed nervously as you felt one of your hands crawl to the back of your neck. You scratched the bottom half of your (Y/HL) hair and neck as a confused expression crossed the simians features. MK's gaze landed to the can and a giggle escaped his lips.
Through his soft giggles, MK pointed at the can in your hands and asked trying to not laugh, and failing, "I-Is that....silly string?"
