"Good, you?"

"Fine, it was a quiet one" she said with a small smile, the awkwardness of yesterday coming back. However the previous day after Geo's arrival we ran to Arthur's room, getting away from the whole overwhelming thing. Now looking at her without knowing what to really say made me want to run up to his room again. Luckily I didn't, that would be even weirder and more embarrassing

"Did you see any good movies yesterday?" Her sudden question put me out of my thoughts, causing me to make a strange sound that neither of us commented on. I took two small breaths before smiling, already knowing my next words

"Yes actually"

"Good" she whispered, dropping the spoon into the bowl with a loud clatter. We stayed silent for a bit, the only sound being the water hitting the bowl after Lisa had left it in the sink

"We came down after but we didn't find you" I suddenly said, making her forget what she was doing. I turned the other way towards the door as I felt kind of obligated to fill her with my justification. Last night we got upstairs so fast that we didn't even properly greeted her and I felt awful

"Jamie had phoned me and I needed some privacy so after this I decided to stay in my room. Don't worry" she tried to explain and with a small gesture showed me her phone that was now holding in one of her hands. Then her eyes darted back to the screen, confusion written all over her face before she let out a breathless laugh

"Oh yeah I understand" I whispered back, not watching if the same herself was listening to me anymore. As I kept looking at the door, luckily the next person who got inside was a sleepy but still a smiling one. I let a breath out and gave them a smiled too as I took one of the seats, sitting down

"Good morning Mrs Mary" I welcomed her inside the kitchen, excitedly. I grabbed my phone from the table, checking if I had any notifications. Maybe Bruce had read the message that I so lovingly left him

"Good morning mama" Lisa repeated after me with a big smile, making me raise my head towards them

"Hi my beautiful girls, how are you?" She happily asked, stepping closer to her daughter and looking behind at the counter, with her eyes searching for something

"Fine" I simply replied to her previous question, leaving her to do her job with a small smile. Then she looked at the other girl in here, waiting for Lisa say something as well

"Me too" she finally said, clicking something on her phone

"I'm happy for both of you" Mrs. Mary had finally settled the coffee pot right in front of her after looking for quite a long time for it. Now she was searching for a small bag of coffee behind some things in the cupboards. She made an excited giggle when she had found one or two, holding them up proudly. I let a little smile slip on my face, before getting back to the story I was currently watching on my Instagram

When our laughs died everything went back to being the same again. A few hums and then silence until Mrs Mary tried to open a conversation. I didn't hear her voice at first, only when she touched my arm, making me look at her. With a small confused smile, I let my phone down, looking as she got a chair, sitting next to me with a ready warm coffee between the finger of her hands

"How was yesterday my dear?" she got to ask as soon as she was settled done, sipping slowly the warm liquid, from the flowery cup that had poured it. After leaving it down, she looked at her left, shoving a small plate full of pieces of cake with a small smile towards me. I stretched my hand, grabbing one, like I was a small child, before devouring it. Lisa came next, leaving a small kiss at her mother's cheek at the process

The food tasted perfect and the kitchen started to smell full of chocolate cake. Only looking at Mrs Mary's happy gaze, did it bring me back to reality. I looked at her, eyeing the pieces before deciding to answer

"Oh, fine. The food was perfect" I said with a little smile, stopping myself from moaning at the thought of the taste of all the delicious food she always made. I closed my eyes, letting my head back before letting out a breath. Now somewhat refreshed, I opened my eyes, looking at her again and tapping rhythmically the back of my phone

"How is Geo? Is he better?" my movements suddenly came to an end, now nervously biting my lip while putting my mind in work to find a good answer. I sighed, covering my forehead with my hand before lowering my head down. Since I was happy with my complete answer, I raised my eyes, meeting her sweet ones again

"Um yeah he is fine. He wasn't in the best mood yesterday" I said hesitantly not wanting to say anything more and happily asked no more

"Good, I'm glad he's better"

"Who's better?" a sleepy voice asked and then yawned. We all looked around, even Lisa who had left her phone, carefully listening to our conversation about Geo. Arthur stepped inside, nearly falling to me before rubbing his eyes and apologizing. I smiled, watching as his mum had put her hands in her sides as soon as she quickly stood up

"Good morning sleepyhead," his mum complained. He groaned, reaching for the coffee machine but she quickly slapped his hands gently, making me burst into giggles

"Don't listen to her. She just got up too" her mum looked at Lisa before laying her hand over her heart. I looked at the scene in front of me, happy that I was part of it

"Traitor" she said feeling offended before we all bursted into quiet breathless laughs

***************

"Shhh. We don't want to wake him yet" Arthur said while heading to his room. He opened the door slowly waiting for me to get inside too

"Yeah, you're right. We are going to give him a heart attack" I whispered, following right behind him

"No I'm not going to scare him, I've learned my lesson" I huffed at that and looked towards Geo who was still sleeping like a little angel "I'm going to wake him slowly and nicely"

"You better. I don't want him to have a bad mood because of your stupid actions"

"I feel offended at the location of my room" I sighed at his simple humor but gave him a light playful shove anyway. He didn't wait, immediately complaining with a frown on his cute face

"Shut up" I said quietly laughing "I'm not kidding, yesterday was not one of his good days" he nodded, agreeing with my statement, before slowly and silently reaching the comforter Geo was sleeping in

"Bruce was such a jerk yesterday" he whispered, paying more attention at the way Geo was breathing and his hands were moving, going either under the pillow or somewhere else

"I was ready for this ship to sail too but then he had to do this" I complained more to myself, getting my eyes and mind away for a brief moment

"Come on I mean it's obvious that they would die for each other" Arthur said and I nodded again with a shrug, looking back at him as I had done a few seconds ago

"I hope Bruce figures it out soon" we were now standing right in front of Geo. I grabbed Arthur's shoulder, shaking him, before he was ready to kneel

"I think we should take his mind off this. Maybe hang out later" I whispered as quietly as I could

"Yes, yes we will have time to think about all these later" he said finally kneeling beside Geo now

"Okay" I slowly hummed and waited for Arthur to grab and gently shake him to wake. The same himself outstretched his hands with a small evil smile. Oh no...

"Geo" he shouted at the top of his lungs, shaking him with a loud laugh. He fell to the floor curling to himself and laughing like he was a small child when he saw Geo's face. I didn't know why I even believed him. I saw as the last one, with wide eyes and a hand clutching in his beating heart, stood up with a frown. I knew that this wasn't going to be good

"Alice..." Arthur yelled with wide eyes as he finally saw Geo approaching him

And if a few minutes later Lisa came and saw Geo hitting Arthur with two pillows in his hands and me laughing in the corner, we never talked about it again
