me, nick and avery are hanging out in my car blasting taylor swift, i am on my phone waiting for a text from my sister. Nick grabs my phone
"give me my fucking phone" i say turning the music down
"come on, who are you waiting to call you?" nick asks
"none of your business nick! give me my phone" i say grabbing it from him
"jeez sorry" nick says
"sorry, im just worried about hailey. She hasnt texted me all day" i say
"shes fine probably" avery says
"well you dont know that avery do you?" i say looking back at her
"why are you in such a bad mood!?" nick asks
"im sorry! im just upset" i say putting my phone down "im failing social studies and im gonna fucking kill myself"
"chris can help you, hes really good at social studies" nick says
"would he?" i ask
"i think so, ill have to ask though" nick says
"i love you i am getting you a boyfriend" i say starting the car and turning the music up.
We get to my house and i text chris since nick gave me his number

oh hi, do you want anything?

well yeah, kind of. I kind of need help with my social studies class and nick told me you were good at social studies so do you mind helping me?

tomorrow at like 2 pm?
chris:
sure, see ya then :)

bye!

i find myself smiling at her texts, i quickly stop and turn my phone off and go back to talking to matt.
"who was that?" matt asks me giving me a pepsi
"maya" i say
"oh, why would she text you?" matt asks
"she needs help with social studies" i say shrugging and opening the can
"ohhh yeah" matt says
"do you think shes like, i dont know, pretty?" i ask drinking from my can
"i mean, yeah." matt says "why? do you like her?" matt asks grinning
"no, just asking" i say shrugging
"youre soo falling for her" matt says giggling
"no im not! shes just nicks best friend" i say scoffing
"yeah right, bye bye lover boy" matt says heading to his room
"dont try to pass that nickname on me, its never gonna work!" i yell as he closes the door
"am i falling for her?, no chris. thats impossible, you've never talked to the girl, youre nowhere close to her" i thought to myself, but then again, i could get closer to her, or ask nick. Its just silly actually. Ill get over it soon enough, wont i?
