All our parents left yesterday. It was only going to be a two day stay. I was sort of sad to have them go, right after things with my mother has changed. But today is a good day. I'm on a plane to Hampton. One the east side of Victoria. It's a long plane ride which should be fun.
But everyone is asleep and we've only been on this private plane for an hour. We have 5 hours left before we reach Hampton. What am I going to do then?
I opened the window of the plane and looked out to the dark morning sky. We left the palace at 3 a.m. Super early.
The only girl left at the palace was Veronica. And we didn't care what she did while we would be gone. The King loves her, so nothing bad can happen.
I closed the window and got off the white couch I was sitting on. I was all alone in the the lounge. Everyone was asleep in the backrooms.
Of course Madison was sleeping with Ashton. But Luke and I, well, we know where we stand. But then again we don't. I know we both want to be like Madison and Ashton. But it's that stand-offish feeling. We feel close, but I feel like one of us is so unsure. Unsure about each other. I don't know if it's me or him.
So I sleep in the other room. Sadly.
I know. I know. 'But we slept together before'.
That was before we finally admitted things to each other, before I knew how I felt.
"Alice?" Madison walked out of her room wrapping the robe around her. "Are you still up?"
"I guess I slept all night." I shrugged.
"How are you feeling?" She asked me.
"Bigger question. How are you feeling? I mean Anna only scratched me on my back. Which I didn't discover until the next day, that I was bleeding. But you, she hit you hard."
She sighed and sat next to me on the couch. "I know right? That's what I get for fighting and not knowing how to." She rubbed the side of her jaw. A growing bruise was there. There were more bruises across her body but it didn't matter compared to the one on her face.
"And I slammed her head on to the floor so many times." I shook my head and chuckled.
"Can you believe she survived that? They told me you really pounded her head in. But at least she's gone. Every since Ashton said 'hi' to me, I received disgusting looks from her."
I pulled my knees to my chest and laid my chin on them. "Sometimes I wonder why I always seem to mess up when it comes to friends."
"What?"
"Every friend I've ever made, stabbed me in the back somehow. Or they showed their true colors and became someone I didn't want to be friends with in the first place."
She placed her legs on the couch, bent behind her. "Alice. I want you to know that I will never be like any other back stabbing bitch."
I smiled. "It's nice to hear you say that."
"And hey, you made friends with Corey. She's still great."
"No. She betrayed me once. I want to visit her to see if she really does still hate me or if she's willing to be my friend again."
"I've watched you and Corey and Anna the entire two months, and I think Corey is a good friend."
"So, Luke told you that... that he saved Corey from extreme suffering?"
"No. I was told from Ashton."
"Oh. So Ashton tells you everything?"
She nodded. "Pretty much."
