The Family (Prologue to Aarcin and Caly Adventures)

Searching the City-Scape

"Hey Double A get up." Caly shook his shoulder.

Aarcin groaned, "Not even wake up time yet Big C, go to bed." He yawned.

Caly sighed and slapped Aarcin's cheek and whispered, "It's almost the evening.... Of when you last went to bed."

Aarcin rubbed his cheek, frustrated at being slapped again within a span of a day. He propped onto his elbows and looked around. Sale had fallen asleep at the foot of the dusty window, a blanket slung over her body rather sloppily. There was no sign of Betaa or Xeta, Aarcin had no doubt they were well occupied in the bedroom. There was no sign of Jeada, which really didn't sit all too well with Aarcin.

"Where's JJ?" Aarcin said in a groggy, drowsy haze.

"Never came back," Caly stated before tossing a vest and cargo pants at Aarcin's face. "That bodysuit is starting to stink."

Aarcin had forgotten all about his bodysuit and upon realizing the itchy fabric still clung to him, he immediately slipped it off, and buttoned up the black vest and khaki pants. "Going searching for Jeada ay?"

"Yep, now let's get out of here before Sale wakes up and we have to drag her and her annoying accent along."

"Harsh much?" Aarcin chuckled softly as he slid his boots on and slung his sniper over his shoulder.

"It's obnoxious."

"It's where she was raised." The duo stepped out into the fading sunlight of midafternoon.

"Doesn't mean either one of us has to like it."

Aarcin shrugged and hoped into the driver's seat of the unmarked speeder used in the preceding day's heist. He was followed by Caly who hoped into the passenger seat and immediately linked a map into the speeder's navigation system, "Have an idea of where we're going I assume?"

Caly smirked, "There's only so many take-out places in this sector."
