26. Roasting marshmallows around the fire! (Maybe telling stories too!)

The sun was sinking slowly behind the mountain range, causing the small group of heros to huddle closer to the growing fire.
Dixie placed another dry branch on the flames, and the inferno spatt and crackled and grew a centimeter taller. "Anyone got any good stories?"
Alabama's marshmallow had already been impaled by the stick. "I can recite the entir' bee movie script."
"The useless things you do with your time." Georgia shook his head.
"Useless?! Next time your stuck with Texas for a long car ride and the only entertainment you'll have is me, you won't get to hear it."
"Anyone got any other stories?" Tennessee tapped his foot impatiently as he turned his marshmallow over in the fire.
"Well, have any of you heard of La Llorona?" Arizona had finally spoken up, and a hush came over the states. And Dixie.
"Isn't that the lady who's kids drown and how she haunts people or whatever?" Nevada placed his mallow down in between two gram crackers. "We've all heard it dude."
"Just let me tell it, you're spoiling it!"
