Missy's POV:
My car was out. It was the first time I used up all the gas, and regrettably, I was still a couple of blocks away from home. There was a gas station though, if I recalled correctly, just under a block or so down the road, where I could buy a tankful. I was in downtown Chicago, on the edge of the city. I locked my car, and walked in the direction of its heart. I started feeling nervous, due to all the shadows and alleys and glanced at my phone, 9:47, then hugged my purse closer to me. I was greeted with vacant, dark, storefronts on my side of the street but there were lit up shops on the opposite side. I was about halfway to the 'supposed' gas station, when I passed the Starbucks I always went to. After a few more minutes of walking, I stopped at a small intersection and headed towards the deserted gas station.

The bell chimed when I slipped through the doorway, and the guy at the cash register yawned and rolled his eyes. His name tag read 'Gus' and he looked to be around his late 40's with graying hair.
"Hey, do you have a container I could buy to hold gas in?" I asked politely.
"Run yours dry?" He replied in a thick southern accent, then muttered "Young 'uns..." Under his breath. He licked his lips as I nodded in reply. Then he hauled a large red container with a long yellow nose onto the desk. "This it?" He asked.
"Yep," I replied.
"3 bucks."
I handed over the money, and grabbed the container. "Thanks!" I yelled over my shoulder.
