Gracelynn's eyes flicker open and she sees Brighton asleep, and Evan is on guard watching for James' to creep up upon us like the Lynx sneaks up on the snowshoe hare. Gracelynn watches him for a little while and then coughs. Easton turns quick on his heels, pinning me to the ground with a old wooden broom to the ground. "Nice to see,..., you to."Gracelynn says, pausing for a breath. Easton smiles and then kisses Gracelynn's lips.
They stay like this for a few brief moments then Easton asks, "Do you feel better?"
"Yes, I do."Gracelynn says, smiling up at him.
"Good." He climbs off of me, blushing crazily.
She giggles softly, looking at Easton like he is a puppy with his tail between his legs because he is ashamed. Gracelynn again giggles and Easton chuckles a bit.
"Anyway, how much farther do we have to go?" Gracelynn asks.
"We're close. Brighton and I heard running water close to our location but we didn't want to lose you."
"That's so sweet, how many more days do we have until Christmas?"
"Gracelynn, today is Christmas Eve." Easton says, looking nervous.
"That's fine. We can..." The next thing Gracelynn knows, she is plummeting to the ground and Easton's face goes dim.
